This is by far the best pep talk I have ever heard. He knows his business very well. I am running my startup for the last 2 years, I can clearly make out what problems he's talking about and his solutions are quite apt. Best thing is that he's not speaking any nonsense like other founders use to, like we have raised 100 million, we have raised 1 billion. He means business.

Key lessons from this session - There are only 2 ways that business succeed in very long run, one is either they are the lowest cost player in that space or the other alternative is that they build a product that people want to buy, you are either Apple or Amazon, literally there is nothing in between. - To build a successful partnership in the B2B environment, you have to show the person the money. It has to work. There has to be an economic value that gets created for your partner which is why the person comes and works with you. - In B2C you think of yourself as customer and then start. B2C is more about marketing, B2B is more about sales. You have to build a brand in a B2C business where as in a B2B business it's a question of getting the service right. - { Start small, learn from your mistakes and then go pan India. } - Understand the unit( shop, hotel, etc. ) of your business . Get that one unit perfect and make it operate exactly the way you want at full efficiency, with full service quality , then it was simply a question of taking whatever you learnt at that one unit and just doing it a million times and getting it right. ( Make your processes system driven.)

On one thing I would disagree with Sandeep . Low cost + differentiation strategies can also be combined together -> The Blue ocean strategy, some businesses have achieved that. When you do this you create a new market that did not exist before.

I have read somewhere that Shopify is starting its own logistics network, what will happen to 3rd party logistics providers then? Also, starship technologies are making their own small robotic cars to become a robotic logistics company, will Delhivery also start developing robots soon?

Anyone can 'start' a startup. Why don't you learn how to actually do logistics before you make tall claims. See how your pathetic company runs first before you start teaching others.
