I've heard from influencers I know that as soon as you hit monetization status, you might actually have brands reaching out to you. Of course you should vet anyone that reaches out so you aren't taking money from a scam business or something.

As a former Buddhist Monk who does Meditation related material our genre are quite far apart. Yet I really enjoyed listening to your last video with KZbin as a topic and this one seems to be a winner aswell. Thank you for taking the time to put all of this together in such a clear and concise way. Feels like a flowchart of how to get your channel up and then getting your first video out and even dealing with taxes and everything that comes after!

Hi Alexis, I want to thank you for the video. Because of injuries, I am a 60 yr-old woman starting my life over after spending 15 yrs taking care of my mother with worsening dementia until she passed. I took notes throughout your video to help me with getting started and I will go to your affiliate links to shop before I go anywhere else, in hopes that this will help compensate you for sharing your knowledge and experience. You're a lovely young woman and I wish you all the best. I did also subscribe and will stay subscribed, will look out for your new videos and I'll check out your old ones as well, to support you. Thank you again.

This is fantastic. I wish all these tips existed a decade ago. There was so much gatekeeping that I constantly underpriced myself without realizing it. When a PR firm reaches out to you on behalf of a brand, they have money to spend. I noticed that my best quality videos came from work I did with brands that paid more - they hold you to a higher standard and it motivates you to outdo yourself. Speaking from experience, you never know when the contracts will dry up - so really charge your worth and then some!

you probably don’t even know how grateful I am to you for this series of videos on KZbin. I literally sat with a pen and wrote down most of what was said, because in fact there are mostly only videos from big channels, but not from those who started organically and in their quiet time. (It will be nice later to remember that I am a subscriber from a couple of thousand haha) 💜 Also, I had a small question after this video, so if possible, open up the topic of managers later, it has always been a mystery to me how people find them, pick them up, are they given all the passwords and you just check up everything from them, do they make deals with brands and do they write like from you themselves?

One of the main reasons why the RPM varies for each video is that a large percentage of viewers are using Ad Blocker software. Ads are annoying and time wasters for the viewers which is understandable. For those who don’t have Ad Blockers installed, they can simply click/touch “Reload” at the very beginning of a video to skip the ad.

29:38 Ahaha... This is one of the reasons why I'm hesitant on starting a channel! Because IRL, I have lots of social anxiety + introversion, and people have often told me how quiet I am, how they didn't like me at first (until they got to know me), asked if I'm anti-social (which they actually mean, asocial, in its true definitions) but really, I just am very guarded (private). It takes a lot of time for me to get to know people, let the walls down so-to-speak :'( So when you mentioned personality, I'm like :'D ahaha sad laughing inside cause I'm definitely not the kind of person that everyone endears. You know, the person that everyone wants to be friends with in school or approaches in university class.

Thank you Alexis for these tips, your videos are always really helpful ❤ I have to say that no matter what type of business you decide to start, you will always need a good social media presence. You will use it to either promote your product/service directly, or to have a place for sharing good content. In both cases I think you need to look credible, sou your customers could gain trust in your product. My go to service these days is Famester to boost my presence. I still don't get why people are afraid of using these while struggling to take their businesses off.
