For “investing” is really a simple as buying sealed products with high pack density. Booster boxes/bundles and just put it away for several years. I’m currently buying 151 bundles and S&S booster boxes right now. Even ETB will quickly take up too much room for how many packs they contain.

nice vid man. im starting to take the hobby more seriously and im not exactly sure how to store my cards. how do you sleeve and store your cards? do you double sleeve cards? how do you store toploaders and order your binders?

My good cards are in sleeves and then toploaders and on display. In terms of my binder, I've got this old school DBZ binder from 2000. So it's probably not the best example but it's sentimental and my lesser hits go inside there 👌

Great tips Michael👍 I like my sealed products too, occasionally I might rip open a newly released booster box or etb if I have multiples of the same set, and I buy singles I like when they dip in price after the initial hype has died off. Who do you follow in AFL?

@@pokeoz91 …I’m from Adelaide but I’ve been a Cat supporter ever since I can remember and one of the first finals I ever watched was the 1989 Grand Final, the Hawks beat us that day but hell that was an epic contest, and probably one of the best Grand Finals ever played, it had everything from Dipper’s punctured lung, Brereton’s busted ribs, God bagging nine goals and the Hawks winning by a single goal.

Started investing beginning of January, also felt like i wanted to rip something... Last time 🤣 No enjoyment at all, im keeping myself to sealed and occasional one pack rip. Watched youre vids, love them all, great ideas, great points! Mayor part of my collection will be lost origin, affordable for me so it works great, also a few ETBs of different collections when boxes was alittle to expensive + a few blister/booster art set Super happy and again thanks for the content and insights!!

Normally just TCG player. But that's U.S pricing and of course prices change country to country. Ebay sold listing's is always a good place to check too!

Potential new collector here - I was hoping the 151 series would be one you'd recommend to start, any reason why you didn't? Gen 1 was my favourite so I assumed it would be the best one for me to start

It's also a great set to start, the pull rates are a bit tougher on English. Japanese boxes have seeded hits which could be more fun 👌

Another quick question. Is it worth to buy PSA 9 slabs or should you always buy PSA 10?

I think for some vintage cards, psa 9 definitely has a place given the low pops but for modern I think it needs to be psa 10!

@haydensault4345 ebay graded is always a good option. A lot of modern chase cards in an 8 or a 9 can be similar prices to mint raw copies and you know their condition 👌

Would love to see a series of recurrent videos every 6 months or so that tell you what you believe is the best way to invest $100, $500, $1000 and $2000 given the market conditions at that specific time. That would be a great way to help for new people getting into the hobby, and you could even make a version for keeping it sealed and another all about cracking open the packs. Nice vid

I'm a big fan of Danny and think fun cost is something overlooked to easily in the hobby. There's many hobbies/ past times that people spend money on and have nothing physical to show for it after, but they do it for the fun and enjoyment they get from it. I just think sometimes people forget this too easily and focus solely on the value of cards they obtain from pack opening.
