Nice video! Can you make a start to finish tutorial on how to set up a launchpad x to Logic Pro for finger drumming and set your custom sounds. Setting that you use on the launchpad etc? Also if you could show how to finger drum connected to an iPhone with GarageBand or android so I can finger drum on the go as well, it would be awesome to see those, thanks! :)

Is there any way I can either record directly into the novation sound files, or download them individually load them into pads so that they stay resident then the unit is switched off? I then want to take it to a gig, hit one pad and have the sound clip play. Is that possible? I can use Ableton to set the unit up but don't want a computer on the stand.

I wish it would lay out the modes in their correct order on that settings view. Is there a way to do this? I.e. Ionian (major), then dorian, then phrygian, lydian, myxolydian, aeolian, locrian? It just makes so much more sense when you know how they interact with each other.

It s possible any configuration of midi notes, for example 3 pads with the same midi note ? For an acoustic drumkit it would be nice to use 2 or 3 pads with the same midi note message for fast ripetitions on kick, snare etc...

How can I make it so that I have different instruments at different parts of the pad? Do I need to use the same channel or is it possible to configure different channels and different instruments to those channels and use them all at the same time? I have this grid with lowest 32 pads with 2 colors, both 4x4 and I want different instruments on both but I don't know how to do it. At the moment every pad button plays the drum kit when I put it on track 1.
@dumfunded73324 жыл бұрын
You can do this all on one midi track (1) right click on your drum rack in your midi track where it says “drum rack” then click “group” (2) this will make it an instrument rack and you’re going to click the small circle that looks like it has 3 dots and 3 lines, should be 2 buttons down from the on/off button for the instrument rack, this will open up the chains (3) hit the “key button” this will bring up a keyboard and a bar beneath it, drag the bar to cover the range of notes you want your drum rack to be on (4) to add other instruments on different parts of the launchpad just right click underneath the drum rack chain and hit “create chain” then again move the bar to fit where you want that instrument to be on your launchpad with the notes then just drag whatever vst into the area to the right of the keyboard where it says “drop an instrument or sample here” hope this helps! Feel free to shoot me a message if you need help I know its a lot over just text

So the X only has 4 custom pages, you’ll need the pro for 8. Go to novationmusic.com/components and you can customize each page with 4 drum grid widgets at whichever midi channels you want. Hope this helps.

Bill Showers so that will depend on which daw you are using, in ableton that means making a drum rack instrument and dropping your samples in there. Assuming you’ve set up the Launchpad so the drum grids are chromatic, any sampler will work up from your starting note
