I loved this video Michael. But what really hit me in my heart is what you said around step 7-Mental. I often and recently have these highs and lows, of landing an amazing deal with an new big client, and 1 week after you just want to give up. That you are saying this out loud really helps to validate that it's allowed to feel like this, and I only have to learn how to deal with the rollercoaster, not try to remove the rollercoaster of emotions. Thank you for stating this so clearly!

Oh man. That mental game is so tough. It is such a rollercoaster!!!!! As long as we learn from the down moments, we can turn them into up moments in the future. But no entrepreneur is immune to hitting the wall sometimes.

@@morejanda no that’s very true. Had referral leads from two people on Wednesday for $3000 on Thursday the opportunities were lost (out of my control). Name of the game! Not for everyone this that’s for sure.

Just wanted to show appreciation for this video Mike. I’ve been freelancing for three years on the side and I’ve been working towards full time work for a while now. I’ve been so slammed with good work for a while now and have been trying to prep for the next steps. I feel like the hardest part is finding time to invest in your business instead of taking on more client projects.

Hey Austin! Thank you for the comment! It is so true. Easy to get caught up in the weeds of doing the work our business produces, rather than building the business itself.

Thank you Michael - flip, so grateful for discovering you. I am in my 7th year of freelancing and it's still as scary as ever! SO HAPPY to have found your learning material! I have 2 of your books in the post making their way to South Africa. Yay. :0) THANK YOU for being so generous with your knowledge!!

Hi Bridget! Thanks so much for this message. It is scary...but you're 7 years in. Definitely past the worst of it. Haha. Lots more coming from me. I really am grateful for your message...(I had a few "hater" comments in my threads today...so finding your message is just perfectly timed for me today. Thank you!)

You always put out rockin' valuable content, Mike, thank you! I purchased your Ultimate Freelance Course (have explored, but not fully jumped in yet) and assume this fantastic Full-time Freelance Planner is in it. If not, please hit me back so that I can grab the download!

Hi Lilly! Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you got my course. Some of the stuff I talk about in this video is mentioned in the full course...but not in the same way as delivered here. The "freelance planner" is not in the course, but I do have it for download... michaeljanda.com/mini-course-start-freelancing/ ...scroll down just below the video and you'll find the form to get it. Ping me if you have any questions! (My email is on the bottom footer of my site.) Cheers!

Hi Michael! Great video like always. One question though: how and where would you suggest finding the partners before starting out? As you have said, there are so many other fields you can cross-sell to and so many professionals out there. Thanks for what you are doing ❤

Hey! Thank you! Glad you liked it. Get to know people in online communities. Example: Find a "designer group" on LinkedIn or Facebook etc. and post something like "hey I'm going to start freelancing soon. I'm great at _______ but I am looking for some people to help my business with ___________ that I'm not as good at. Anyone interested?" So many people are out there looking for work opportunities online. If you post a message like that in a few of the right places, you'll find people eager to build a relationship with you in hopes of future work. Hope that helps!

Hey Syed! Thank you! And haha. Most freelancers struggle with many of these same things. Pick one at a time and solve 'em. You're not alone.

Thank you for the positive vibes! I hope it will. I'm working on it one video at a time...just focusing on delivering value and trusting that the subscribers will be a byproduct of that effort.
