i remember watching this video back when i was still saying to myself “ how could i ever do flips “. now i can side flip, front flip, back flip, cheat gainer, cork, front 180, and some basic vaults, all in 7 months. thanks ronnie for the videos
@WusGudCook3 жыл бұрын
what would u say is that easiest my good sir
@swegbruh1993 жыл бұрын
@@WusGudCook depends, out of the main three (side,front,back), backflip is physically easier but scarrier, front flip is usually less scary but is physically harder, and side flip is in between. I wouldn try all 3 and then continue to practice whichever is most comfortable/fun/easier and then learn the next and so on. But regardless of whichever flip you choose, try to learn the basic vaults and rolls and other stuff first. Those are good prerequisites and a good test to see if you are ready for flips

Is it better to train for a few years without learning any kind of flips and just mastering basic techniques? Like in the long run is that the best way to go about it?
@ronniestreetstunts8 жыл бұрын

Hey Ronnie! I have a bit of fear of flips, but I really want to learn. (I would really feel encouraged if you answer) The reason why is because I got the wind knocked out of me when trying one, even though I landed on a mat. I know that is not a great reason to be scared of flips, however I am only 12, and its sill somewhat scary for me. And while this tutorial was really helpful, but I have 2 questions. But first let me tell you a bit about my history with flips. I tarted parkour about 1 1/2 years ago, and my teacher had me start with a wall flip, which to this day I still cant do, then he had me try websters, and I cant do those either, even from elevation of about 2 feet. I also have tried, and a few times successfully done front flips on the trampoline, but usually I land on my back, or butt. I am also wanting to start with a front flip, however, if you think I should start with something else, let me know First of all, the padding I will be using is couch cushions about the thickness of a mattress, but should I just start flipping on the ground, even though the cushions are about six inches of the ground, or should I find something to elevate my self, about a foot or 2 above the cushions? And second, as a but of a beginner, should I get a running start and then leap of the ground/elevation? Or should I start from standing? Also as some notes, I cant do cartwheels, but I can do round-offs. And I have really tight hamstrings, would that be affecting my ability to do flips? And this does not have anything to do with flips, how ever, I dont have very good stamina, would there be a good way to improve this? Or will I just have to work hard on parkour to improve that?
