100% Yes. Too many people believe the joys of movement are only for children and it shows how our society is built in a way that breaks us down until we believe those things. It made me think about how they stop doing recess once you get to middle school, but even adults need to get outside and move their bodies in fun/interesting/challenging ways to be healthy. We should not be expected to sit all the time like we are. It is honestly so weird how people will judge you or think weird of you for jumping on something. We are apes after all, we are meant to move like this.

Then they arent your real friends. And you dont need much to train parkour really, get creative! Lines on the ground, curbs, tables, trees, bars and soo much more! Just tell your parents what you want to become and if they dont let you do it then just go outside and practice without letting them know it. It is your life and you decide what you want to be. @33Jenesis6 жыл бұрын
What I like about parkour is that it uses body weight, momentum, and flexibility to keep body and mind healthy and sharp. It is safety training and situation awareness. I am almost 60 but I would like to start by quadrupedal movement to get some upper body and core strength, limb coordination, and stamina. I saw how quadrupedal can make older ppl get back strength and flexibility. Each person’s training is a journey of consistency, overcoming obstacles, and building confidence. It isn’t about flashy tricks or Spider-Man moves. I like your philosophy and teaching (mental, not just technical).

@K0szk08 жыл бұрын
There isn't one easiest flip. Which is the easiest depends on the person. For some ppl it's frontflip because it seems to be the least scary, for some it's backflip because it's easier to spot the ground while landingand get the rotation. There's also sideflip doing which you can also spot the ground. Beside these 3 basic ones there are some other supposedly easy ones like cheat gainer, wallflip, swing gainer or russian frontflip and even though most of them are said to "require" one of these 3 it is possible to learn them first. But if you're just desperate trying to learn just one flip to show off I'd recommend trying the 3 basic ones :)

I'm 16, I just started parkour with my little brother last week, I get a rush challenging my fears and feel a sense of achievement whenever I complete a goal. I've never felt so alive.

Thanks Ronnie. I learned the Butterfly kick from you. Not so many of the people I know could do it. So I did a weird vault. I call it the Butterfly vault. I basically do the Butterfly kick in the form of a vault. Even though I'm overweight but it looked awesome. Really man thanks. I'll keep going and I'll always remember you.

Yes that's true because, the impact of any obstacle can hurt you when you fall or slip or anything that makes you fall. But remember, if you fall, you are learning body movement, controlling your fears. Every drop you get, your learning and, controlling, so if you start now when you fall, your learning control, so like Ronnie says " train safe "

I stopped doing parkour in September of 2017. I tried doing a speed vault over a handrail at my school, but I clipped my feet and fell onto my back pretty hard (luckily it was on grass). I passed out and woke up with a massive headache. Since then, I’ve been avoiding any situation where I could do a vault. But now, after weeks of practice, I can now safely do a vault over handrails or benches.

exactly. It's not just about "tricking". You have to know how to land properly and condition the body to take the impact. It also helps to get training from CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS and train with the YAMAKASI.
@thefrozenangel18 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right about the natural parkour. When I was 14, I would run down five stairs, with a leap and a half-twist at the end to amuse a toddler I babysat. I would also slide assassin's creed-style (don't ask me why) and land in front of my dog. He died in '93, and so I stopped. Now I'm 47. Getting physical after supposedly growing up and being an adult is something that most us us aren't up to doing.
