I found that I needed community, the workout set up for me and someone to encourage me through the workout so I joined bootcamp, a HIIT workout that works on strength and heart. It costs some money but it works for me and I have now been going 4 or 5 times per week for the last 8 years. I have also started indoor rock climbing, way out of my comfort zone since I don’t like heights but so gratifying when I make it to the top of a climb. I am a vegetarian and just recently stopped all unnatural sugar. The wonderful part of stopping the sugar is that I sleep through the night again, so never going back. I’ve lost weight and feel so much better, including more energy. I am 62 years old this March and am healthier than when I was 40 years and younger. I also walk lots with my dogs, getting fresh air is very important even if cold fresh air. Dress appropriately and being outside is wonderful. My air fryer and instant pot help with prepping food and keeping it delicious and healthy. I no longer have cravings for sugar junk food like ice cream or chocolate . There are so many alternatives to sugar like honey, maple syrup, natural sweetness.

Thank you for sharing. There was a time I went to lots of classes and it was so much fun. Almost like you don’t have to think about it much just going it. You have a great set up. Rick climbing sounds like a great workout as welll.

Thank you for this encouraging video❤ I am 67 today..starting over after being my mother's 24/7 caregiver until she passed last year. I neglected my self. I used to walk every day after work and did some running as well. Now I've had to realize it will take time. I have spent the last couple of months just stretching and doing very gentle workouts. Just now I feel I won't injure myself ..patience is hard to have ! Lol keep it up..I think I will start a fitness journal to help keep myself accountable 😊

Very inspirational! I would like more information on the fast you did at your church! I would also love some recipes & cooking videos! I was brought up on fast foods and my husband was raised on meat & potatoes :( We garden and raise a lot of our food, but I'm always looking for new ways to use what we have. Thank you! God Bless :)

Be mindful of the fruit you eat while loosing weight. Zevia is a good alternative for soda as a.treat. Add quinoa to your menu. Reduce or eliminate dairy of all types.

Thank you for the tips. I think when starting out it’s important not to limit yourself too much with healthy foods. Eliminating the junk is priority.
