Wonderful video! My favorite still has to be France 2008, but all of these are indeed amazing ways to start off a performance. Now comes time for "How to ace your performance", aka "what to do in the middle of your performance"! My examples would be: Have some epic choreography - Iceland 2019 Jump on a trampoline - Greece 2014 Be an adorable person - Austria 2016, Czech Republic 2019 Tell people about your rules about staying cool - Montenegro 2012 Fly - Australia 2019 Try not to get glass in your eye - Sweden 2011 Climb the wall, or have multiple copies of you in the wall - Russia 2016 and 2019 Hairography - Cyprus 2018 Jojk a bit - Norway 2019

My two personal favourites when it comes to starts are Euphoria and Fire in Your Eyes (2008 Israel). Euphorias start was really powerful and set the mood instantly, while the Israeli song started with hauntingly beautiful vocals with the singer off-stage. Another category would actually be songs that start with a separate melody, in a folk music style, and in the country's own language.

You have to watch France 2014 if you haven’t yet! It’s sooo good and I liked it since I first listened to it (mind you, I normally hear metalcore, punk etc., so more like AWS and Hatari). But this song has that specific crackhead energy that I really adore when it comes to the esc. I really don’t know why they were last.
