How to - Starting the Engine on the MARK-3® Watson Edition Pump

We are excited to share with you a step-by-step guide on starting the engine of the MARK-3® Watson Edition Pump. Whether you're a seasoned firefighter or new to our innovative pump, these instructions will ensure a smooth and efficient start-up process every time.
Here are the steps to start the engine on the MARK-3® Watson Edition Pump:
1- Close/engage choke (H), if the engine is cold.
2- Move throttle lever to "START/WARM UP" (3 increments from "IDLE").
3- Slowly crank the engine until you feel resistance (past compression).
4- Give the starter cord a quick and steady pull.
5- Once the engine fires, disengage the choke and pull start again if necessary.
6- Allow the engine to warm up while the UI LED blinks green (approximately 2 minutes).
7- Once the UI LED becomes solid green, the unit can be throttled up.
It's crucial to note that failure to allow the engine to warm up properly may lead to piston scoring and potentially more serious engine damage.
