I find my throat getting dry at the end of the day.. I can only sing in the morning/afternoon. By the end of the day my timbre gets darker and my chords are just dry af(singing or not) and I drink alot of water

If you send me a clip of you singing I can likely tell you what your issue is. It sounds like an issue with the way you're singing not a physical issue like lack of water for example.

@@Dougzed I'd be interesting in sending you a voice clip. But I will say that this issue specifically is a throat /skin issue. I can literally feel it in throat on days I work. I do 12 hour shifts and usually don't get much sleep. On those days, my voice sounds a couple shades darker. It's like a semi hoarseness I get. Not like strain caused or anything but just dryness. I use to drink alot and I just quit recently. I've noticed a huge difference but my body is still recovering My off days I try to sleep 12-13 hours (around 10 hrs of actual time spent sleeping) Then wake up, warm up for 20 , and my tone is crystal clear again

@@harrypotter6894 I don't know how skin is related to your issue but yes 100% if you don't get much sleep your voice can definitely feel hoarse and dry. I experience that as well.

@@Dougzed well the skin inside your mouth is going to be just as dry as the outside. I think they are directly related. I think diet/alcohol/coffee/sleep directly effects timbre greatly. Coffee the least, but caffeine causes dehydration so it definitely doesn't help

@@harrypotter6894 when you mentioned skin I didn't immediately assume you meant the skin inside your mouth. That might be your experience but me personally I can eat anything, even drink alcohol etc without my voice being worse. For me it's literally just sleep that messes with my voice
