I love this topic and needed to hear this today so first off, thank you so much! I have a question about this, what about when it comes to complaining to your man about outside things that have nothing to do with him or what I'd rather refer to as venting, lol. I've always been a very emotional person and I've struggled with a lot of things for a long time. I have a very strong need to talk to someone about my frustrations with life and other people in order to release all that negative energy and feel better. I'm also always willing to be that empathetic listening ear to my people as well. I have a very masucline man and he really has a small tolerance for my venting which makes me feel so hurt because im just looking for him to be there for me. Imo that's just what you do for the people you love. I like my man to be my best friend and he does too as he always calls me his best friend. I'm afraid of bottling up my very intense emotions I know that would be extremely unhealthy for me. I do struggle with emotional regulation and my whole life I have coped with that by venting to the people close to me. Thanks for your help and I think this would make a great video topic if you don't have one about this already. So grateful for you and your videos!❤

My biggest problem is because I’ve been in masculine mode for most of my life (almost 40), I’m also a taller woman and though pretty, never felt petite or feminine in that way, (had all brothers) trying to be more feminine just feels inauthentic and fake. It’s very hard for me and I don’t know what to do about that. My husband says he wants me to be more feminine yet does things (my sons too…one is a tween and younger one is autistic/adhd) or pushes me figuratively in ways that make it come out. I teach high school too, so I constantly deal with people being difficult around me. Life has made me have to be hard and I am really struggling with how to soften myself and not feel weak.

The problem is everyone including this channel says ‘feminine’ has to wear a barbie dress and acquiesce to everything. That’s not actually feminine energy. Feminine is an attitude, it allows solutions versus fighting problems, it becomes bigger than or flows around an opponent instead of smashing through them Things like that. Hugs.

Vicki this was sooo helpful ❤ Just one question, when you are trying to be present with the emotions of the trigger and feel it in your body, I often can’t feel anything, all I am aware of are a bunch of harsh critical and fearful thoughts that I believe at that time. How do I get to that point of moving from the head to the body?
@VickitaTrivedi
@VickitaTrivedi 4 ай бұрын
I’m so glad! So when you’re having these really loud thoughts in your head, do they trigger any sensation in your body? Usually a thought triggers a physiological sensation, so try to flip it. Instead of thinking about what sensations you get, think about what the thoughts bring up in your body. And remember, if you don’t experience any bodily sensation at all, it’s okay - but it’s a big sign your nervous system enters freeze mode
@cinthaa1
@cinthaa1 4 ай бұрын
@@VickitaTrivedi that makes sooo much sense about the freeze mode, thanks! I think as a child I’ve learned to skip the bodily awareness and go straight into blaming/action thoughts: I should do this, I shouldn’t have done this etc. But in a split second before those thoughts comes up, right after the trigger, I feel a pang in my chest. I guess that’s where the wound is 🥲

If the answer is yes, then RAGE It allows you to have boundaries with your rage and rules with it. Rage is not an emotion that needs to be eliminated. It needs to be controlled and relative to the situation. Literally changed my whole emotional state. Was so chill after I was told this

I’m not going to judge but I would definitely ask myself how random or innocuous the things that set you off are… Entirely so that you can be better submitted of course. But you may in fact find that these things are not random. And then you have a whole other kettle of fish. When that day comes, resist the urge to yell at anyone but quietly work towards building a large bank account to leave.

@@namedrop721 they’re random and innocuous. Im very capable of introspection so im confident they’re ridiculous over reactions to things that can easily be handled calmly later. I actually just dealt with this. I did pull my energy back from him. I stopped doing his laundry, took myself out for fun outings, bought myself gifts, pushed his messes into his areas where I didn't have to see them. I also told him what I needed and that I would leave if I didn't get that. He has seriously stepped up. Something unfortunate happened recently, and when I called him, he immediately began to take care of it. I think the big thing to remember is this: there are places we can go if we really need to leave. College will always be there for us. Shelters. I was a sahw, but I was willing to do what needed to be done. Thankfully I didn't have to, but you can care for yourself in the meantime as you build up to leave. Hopefully you won't have to. If you're in a dangerous situation, this will be different. Don't test anything if he has violent bones in his body. But if your situation is like mine, do things for yourself. Be selfish with your time and energy, and if he's worth anything, he will turn it around.

Kind of agree but when you say protecting is masculine I don’t agree. Have you ever heard of momma bear? There is nothing more ferocious than a mother protecting her young and that’s across all species - the need to protect the vulnerable is a biological female trait. Perhaps the way humans have come to express it over time may not be but that protective instinct is not just masculine…

As women, I believe that having structure and the 'know-how' of execution-skills that, in my case, come a lot from my engineering background-can help us build a life on our own terms. This includes creating stability, achieving financial freedom, and fostering a sense of calm and balance where we can express our best feminine energy.

Hey Vicki! Thank you for this video as this is exactly what I am practicing at the moment. I resonate with the 70% feminine energy. That’s my target. but I run a business which usually takes 8h of my daily time. In my mind, business is masculine and so I have let myself embrace masculine energy during those hours. Basically my day looks like this: - 2h morning routine (feminine) -4h work (masculine) - 2h lunch break + rewind (feminine) - 4h work (masculine) - 1h workout (masculine or feminine depends on the sport) - rest of the day (feminine) My question is: can you be feminine while working or not? xx

yes love you can definitely stay in your feminine by planning out the schedule and having a core belief system that everything is working out in your favor so that you don't end up in a fight or flight situation and when you working it doesn't seem like a burden but rather as an embodiment of your highest self. you already have what you want so you are just in the process of bringing it into reality. One more tip i'd love to include is to start accepting the fears which you feel within and tell yourself positive affirmations, imagining yourself as a feminine being who's using her mind and the work needed aka masculinity to bring her goals into reality. love you xx

I was looking for answers about this problem. But the one who takes me out of my feminine energy is my own father. I try to be a good kid and discipline my attitude and mindset but lately my dad has been just getting on my nerves with him constantly putting me down, and treating me like I'm not his daughter. He is a weak, feminine man, and he disrespects me and my family, which always makes me want to shout at him to get his attention or bring clarity to his mistreatment towards us. I can't do it anymore, I will not react to him or let his actions affect me.

Yes well that's different. A father just like a husband should protect his daughter spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and even financially. He should not be making you feel unsafe and to show your respect towards him so you wont dishonor him you might have to place deeper boundaries with him by removing him out of your life. This is how you can honor him by not holding anything unforgiveness towards him and having deeper boundaries with him since he does not respect you. Now if you have to stay in the same house as him, try keep as much boundaries with him as possible until its time for you to leave and move out on your own.

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation. My father was the exact same and the worst years of my life were living with him. He was an alcoholic who would always tell me how no one would ever love me. This did so much damage as I grew up and I ended up in an abusive relationship with someone just like him because I was desperate to escape home. I don’t know what age you are but my advice to you would be to leave home as soon as you can so you can begin the healing process. Find support nearby like Women’s Aid if that’s available to you and explain the emotional abuse and how you are not safe at home. If your dad has a drinking problem Al-Anon is a great place for families to get support , that was the start of my healing journey then I got into a refuge at Women’s Aid and I stayed there for a year and a half before getting my own place. My dad is no longer here, he took his own life a couple of years ago but I’m still in therapy trying to undo all the damage he caused. But I’m so much happier and I don’t experience daily panic attacks anymore. I come home and it’s my sweet little cat waiting for me 😊 I worked so hard to get here and it’s been worth it to feel safe in my own home, I never thought that was possible. I really hope and pray for the same for you, never give up and remember he hates himself not you ❤ xxx

Also if I can just give one major tip that has helped me heal from my trauma with my father is journaling and processing these emotions and coming to a understanding and letting them go. If you can you should start journaling and run to your journal every time to release your emotions and come to a understand with acceptance so you wont hold any resentment or anger towards your father and of course still place those healthy boundaries to guard your soul, your heart and to keep you safe from him emotionally wounding you.

I wonder, is setting strict boundaries for your children (when they don’t listen) masculine energy? If you don’t do this I have to put you in your room for example? Especially with my boy of 7 it gets so tiring and frustrating sometimes because it takes so much of my energy

the thing is i always feel like im reaching more than him and i feel like when he don't reply fast or forget to reply or call it makes me think " oh im not a priority for him if he think im important he will communicate" ): although he loves me so much and when i confront him he apologizes and explains that he just had a rough day but still i cant stop feeling like that every time i feel " ignored " what to do😢

I understand the concept. What happens if a guy you are dating doesn’t follow through on what he says he will do or consistently does things to push your boundaries? I feel like keeping quiet about stuff like that is unhealthy.🤔

Another very insightful video, Vickita. Thank you! I do have a question for work/life though. My masculine energy and feminine energy usually clash when I’m in “work mode” and either my man and I talk on the phone during the time I’m fully and already head deep in my masculine energy or he’s picking me up after a long stressful few days of working and being in my masculine energy. He notices the shift in my “tone” and say I sound controlling but I’m just like “well I’ve been stressed and I still am a little bit but I don’t really mean what I say in that way”. Is the problem my energy or his insecurities? Because I don’t inherently say anything wrong and he should know that my tone has nothing to do with him, I just can’t be my soft sweet feminine self when I am recovering from working and stress.

I think it would be super important for you to have this conversation with him (idk if you already have). But essentially you say exactly what you just wrote to me, say it in a soft, feminine way and make him understand that it’s just a process you go through and it never has anything to do with him. Hope that helps!

i love this video (and all your other videos honestly) but i really struggle with just the normal things in life (that seemingly aren’t even a blip on everyone else’s radar) due to my adhd. i know that routine is the best for my adhd but also my worst enemy because i struggle so much with organisation; and time keeping (due to time blindness / not perceiving time the same way as everyone else) so i’m always late or (very rarely) super early but that comes with a lot of sacrifice (ie not sleeping) 😅 as you can see prioritisation is also not my strong suit haha (again, due to the adhd brain perceiving everything as the same level of importance 🙄 which causes decision paralysis in the end)… executive dysfunction (just getting things done) is a major issue in our daily lives so i’d love to see a video for those with adhd or other chronic conditions (eg i also have fibromyalgia).. there just aren’t enough hours in the day it seems and it’s really frustrating haha or like, time doesn't stand still waiting for me to feel well enough or can finally will my body and brain to listen to me and move normally and get shxt done.. this tends to lead to me overcompensating when i can do things but i then overdo it and then triggers my fibro to flare up even more (an example of a fibro issue is clothes feel like wearing heavy armour and moving feeling like torture; or extreme fatigue where you're bedbound) and then i'm out even longer (if that makes sense) i dunno… if you see this, i'd love some advice or to see a video addressing chronic health conditions and / or adhd and navigating life with them to succeed. much love ! ❤

Just one suggestion I need.. what if he ghosts me.. what should my reaction be?? I used to be all that A version but now I don't react.. but I want consistency (not even daily communication.. just consistent enough).. what to do when he comes back normally.. i don't wanna fight.. but don't wanna react like it's ok either.. (asking him directly doesn't help.. tried 100s of time.. been 11 yrs on n off relationship) if u could suggest something 💖🥺 thnx..
