Great safety narrative - it takes a lot of road time (decades) to accumulate that kind/volume of knowledge. Amen to the notion that laws, “3 feet campaigns”, “it’s my right be on this road”, etc. won’t keep you alive; self righteousness will only make you a dead martyr. My first ride to work commuting mentor Jack “Blackbird”Bochsler basically told me verbatim everything in your segment. In retrospect, my first ride with him to work, and later home, installed essentially five years of experience into my skull... BTW, that scenery reminds me of the same roads of the L.A. Grand Tour Double.
