Beautiful work Emma, I love your organic process as to how each piece evolves. The two seed heads provide just the right balance for me ❤

it's funny how it works just right doesn't it, the slow process lets it evolve so comfortably xx

I love this, the colours and shapes. I would like to see more of you working with thicker threads from the back of the work. I've tried it once and liked the effect but I've not really done any more with this technique.

it's not something I do very often to be honest, but I like the effect when I do!

Definitely two ! Haven’t tried stitching from back side … yet.

That’s lovely Emma,two seed heads are enough. Working with a thicker thread,from the back,is something I’ve never tried, but it looks beautiful,thank you for sharing, I love your calm attitude to life, looking forward to next week,as always xx ❤❤

What a beautiful piece! I've just found your channel and I love the relaxing feel I get - just what I like to watch in this rather uncertain world right now. I adore seed heads and this piece came out beautifully! I wanted to respond because you asked if we thought it needed a 3rd seed head - and no, you have plenty going on visually and I love the little piece hanging off the edge - it draws the eye. I do like 3 elements though (technically you have 3, but the seed heads feel like their own thing). What I might consider (obviously, you do what I do and that's just to try it out by lying a bit of thread down), is to make either a hint (as you noted) of a 3rd seed head but have almost all of it go off on the right side (so we only see the bottom?) - could be in that lovely, rich brown. Or, you could do it in the gold, but maybe with a lighter weight thread so it doesn't have as much weight - and again, have it go off the right side and only a hint of the bottom of the seed head. Just a thought! You asked and I do love to participate! Such a beautiful piece - the fabrics are so rich and I do love lots of additional stitching - as you said, it hides a multitude..... :) Good luck - a gorgeous piece! x

Beautiful, I use a fine thread folded in half .I put the thick thread in the loop then pull it through to thread a needle with thick thread.
@StitchandCreate3 ай бұрын
ooo good tip I will have to try that, must be a biggishe needle, what size do you use or is it a special one Helen?
@helenfenner74883 ай бұрын
@@StitchandCreate a normal needle or a jean needle, works really well, as I do jeans hems thick on the top thin on the bottom,

Do you have a video where you make your cords?. I am not a brave sewer and like to see the process before trying something new, whereas you just follow your instincts and experiment. You are a fun stitcher to watch.

I'm sure you're braver than you think! I just play really 😉 I have one I did recently here, "the slow making of seedheads" kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqnIaIKeYp6iisk hope that helps! x
