@@vel6046 thats not how it is where i work, if you get done early you gotta help other people... even if they arent even trying if all freight is done and everything is zoned then you gotta do returns... if that is done then do topstock if that is done then do bins and finally if that is done go home

best first rookie job ever. i enjoy stocking. have to believe its better than flipping burgers or taking orders from random customers. though customers can get high and mighty over you. "look lady its not in the back" or "i'm bleeping new, i don't know where that item is"

Don't worry about a thing. You will be able to handle things fluidly with very little pausing for thought after about a week. Trust me you pick things up very quickly stocking shelves. I did primarily grocery as well the liquor aisle and paper products those 3 usually. As well as anything else inside the store that is low upon request to restock. Sometimes those can be a bit tricky because I don't mess with those often.

Don't always assume taking from the back is best! Those that don't rotate, you can go home with 3 yr old salad dressing, ect. I do hope this guy worked faster than that vid demonstration. All store policies are different on stocking shelves, but u pretty much rip open a box and shelf it, when you off stack product goes in front of the shelf it is located at, so when its time to throw, it's right where it should be. Many many stockers do not have time to rotate each product, and other employees rarely are sent to check dates, so grocery stores are stuffed full with expired stuff, and customers buy it and usually never notice. Check your dates people no matter where you shop, it happens everywhere & it is not illegal to sell it, only baby formula is illegal to sell. Happy shoppig, happy stocking!

Always have the case on your cart infront of you.. Grab 2-4 at a time that.. Don't hold the case and stock with one hand.. inefficient.. Use a stool for top shelves if needed.. Keep the rows straight.. Stock from the back to the front.. Last couple should be labels facing properly Right at the front for customer accessibility.

Na i work in a super center, some of it is ad maybe 100 of it is ad but the rest is usually baking or cans, and a shit ton for our international food isle. its awful.

Stetsen James I think his math is off. 1800 is 600 per person and for simple math just stocking at 60 cases an hour( for canned goods that a moderate rate, bleach and such should be over 100 per hour). That's 10 hours each without sorting the truck, picking up the trash, crushing boxes and facing the store.
