As always this magnificent woman is a balm for my heart. Unrequited love is my problem with a girl I want but will never have because of an age difference; sometimes jealous of her youth and opportunities for new relationships. In some ways I'm selfish, wanting her where as I should be happy she can find romance. The emotion of jealousy passes when I get a hold of myself and realise the many gifts I have in a good and happy life. I agree with other subscribers; jealousy is an insecurity coming from the fear of abandonment.

Jealousy is ruinous to a relationship especially when shown in excess. But a little bit of it when when brought on by circumstances that can't be avoided can be somewhat beneficial in showing a mate that you care. Not recommending it tho, but try as we can to avoid it, its an inherent part of our make up that has a way of creeping to the surface no matter how slightly. With this said, ms ponti gets it right as always: jealousy doesn't help in nurturing a relationship for the most part.

Mine had pathological jealousy issues. He would accuse me of cheating all the damn time when I wasn't cheating at all! He had baggage from his ex supposedly cheating on him. He would text and call me constantly throughout the day. Face timing every night for hours. He would actually FaceTime me in the middle of the night to see if there was somebody else in my bed with me! I went through 2 years of hell! Looking back on it now I think it was transference and he was most likely cheating with this woman he claimed was just a "friend". I didn’t just dodge a bullet I dodged a nuclear bomb!

How do you deal when someone is blocking you or not letting people come to you? Do the strategies you use in your various videos work well for people without large paycheques? Does "quality man" or "quality woman" require a large paycheque in addition to other significant characteristics? I ask because, despite my best efforts, life hasn't worked out for me as I had hoped. For example, I once lost a $6000/month salaried career because I had insisted that one of my subordinates, who had been awake for three days straight, get some sleep. If I had not insisted, that could have resulted in a fatality if that person had to provide trauma care to someone. Yes, that still stings and I know I'd do the same thing again, hopefully with better results, and I acted from a place of care and responsibility. However, my current paycheque and benefits don't come close to what I could have had in my life. For me, going cycling locally or enjoying a swim at my local YMCA, or simply having a coffee out are ways I spend my recreational time. I can't afford the "higher end" indulgences that seem so often linked to being a "quality man" or "quality woman."

Its not easy for everyone to have no feelings and no emotions. People who do that often come from a place of hurt and are in a state of anger. Despite how bad some may have treated us new people in our life should not pay the price for how other people may have wronged you. We let people into our lives so if you find yourself treating someone whose bad worse than how they may treat you before they could hurt you is a waste of time. Never getting with that person in the first place is how you began the healing process for yourself.
