To me as a person who works with the public at a a place that prides itself on friendliness, the prospect of stopping fake smiling seems absolutely terrifying. Plus i'm from an extremely "cheerful" family of "introverts" who are all often avoiding calls and texts from people who loved our warmth, because we're all actually too emotionally exhausted to respond... Wow. This video hits too close to home and makes me feel like there's suddenly a mountain to climb in front of me that wasn't on the map....

When I stopped or lest say limited most of my fake smiling in a lot of situations I am like Tommy Shelby, people around me in group make laugh of something that I don't find funny and I just look at them and try to figure out whether their laughter is genuine. Wow yes exactly bro fake smiling and generally acting too much around people takes away from us a lot of energy

I agree with you, im from a real face sensitive country and the people here are expert in fake smile, work like a social language. I want Just leave this behavior to be more peacefull with my own real emotions.

Do you find it difficult to remain true to yourself and how you feel when someone is fake smiling at you?

Good question, Im feel anxious and sometimes envolved by fake and also gossip people. Everybody here in professional áreas look for this ilusion, fake happiness. If you are a waiter for exemple, the things can be hard in front of some costumers, all the energy is drained between fake-people and fake-smile, neurotic sensations in general. Fake smile work like a key into this poor and almost slave social universe.

I feel you. We are so used to fake smiles nowadays that an honest authenticity can be scary.
