My tip is to treat it like you are playing in the playground. Loosen up and relax. Listen to you favorite song and vibe to it. If you miss who cares, just take the game play by play and don't worry about the outcome. Just have fun and don't force anything. Hopefully these tips helped :)

Come early for the game. Get to know the court, the players, feel the game ball before the game. Knowing all these things will calm you down, now all you have to do is warm up and play your game. One big thing is practice like your play in a game. Practice should be intense. Every shot and layup should have game like pressure. This way when you play a game, it doesn't feel any more different or difficult.

INTERNET EARNINGS haha well another superior kid thinking he’s better than everyone else cause he’s a few inches taller than the average person here. stfu. Not like everyone here is small anyway, and if you’ve forgotten height isnt the only factor that makes you a good player. “Another small people trying hard to be a superstar basketball player”. Dumb fuck just because we’re “try hards” that doesn’t mean we aim to be superstars, most just play for fun.

I was always nervous that all my practise wasn’t good enough. And I always screwed up. But in practise 5x5 I mostly played as well as I can. So I just have to realize that everyone is here to play basketball, including me and that gives me confidence. This will also help me a lot to get more focused on the game.

@@Himothy7877 Yooo... thanks for asking. I realised, if you fail again and again and again for a while, you started to fail a lot less worse, and you began to improve, and that gives you confidence. In most pickup games, I'm starting to become the go-to guy now. I also hit a game winner 3 last Saturday, scored about 8 points in a 13 point game. Played very very good in our last tournament, I'm very vocal now, as a point guard. i played the whole minutes. (but we lost tho😄) I still have off days, but that's life. Progress not perfection.
