Thanks for the timely video as I have one now. I'll try the vinegar soak. I did have press on nails for a special occasion. Guess, I'll just stick to my short nails. Thank you!

Hi Dr. Dray! Could you please consider making a video about nevus of Ota or Hori nevus? I’ve noticed that this topic isn’t commonly discussed by dermatologists. Since you’re an expert, it would be amazing if you could cover this subject in one of your videos.

Hi Jackie! Happy Thursday!! I hope you're doing well and that you had a nice day. I'm right there with you on artificial nails. I've never had them even once. How in the world would I be able to garden or take care of animals with those?! Definitely not for me. We had a terrible storm last night with strong winds. There was debris and tree limbs all over the roads this morning. It's in the low 40's right now and I would love a hot cup of tea. Hope you can join me, my dear, sweet friend and hope Miss Fancy Pants can join my kitties for their cuddles and head scratches. Please give her some extra ones from me. I hope you have a lovely evening and have sweet dreams. Peace, joy and many blessings to you always. 💜🕊💜🙏💜🐈🐈☕☕💜🐾🐾

Hi Mary! Happy Thursday to You Too! I know I seen this morning that your area was really getting some pretty strong storms, Pennsylvania really got it too!! I got some snow today, and alot of wind!! Suppose to get slick tonight!! I'm so glad nothing was damaged at your house, those storms can really do a number on them. Where I live there is always tornadoes and severe weather in the spring and sometimes in the summer. I sure would love to have tea, kitty cuddles, and of course head scratches and hugs, Miss fancy pants always knows sh gets her special ones from you, and just meows like the Dickens!! Please give your little darlings theirs from me too!! I hope you have a beautiful evening my dear sweet friend, love always, and God Bless You!!🙏❤️🐈♥️🐈❤️🌹🫖☕☕🧁🙏

Hi Dr. Dray, I'm in my 40's and interested in fillers. Can you do a video about types of injectables to rejuvenate, lift, smooth out winkles?
@marylawman860323 сағат бұрын
I've never had artificial nails. They're not for me but I know so many people do. I hope this video will help them avoid a nasty infection. Thanks, as always, for all you do. Happy Thursday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a wonderful evening. 💗

Occasionally I like to polish my nails. What is your recommendation on a safe nail polish to use?
@toxicnenaКүн бұрын
The greenies! in the case of nail extensions, gel, and press-ons... It means they didn't clean their nail properly before application, or the press-on/gel nail formed a pocket of air underneath. You can avoid this usually by washing your nails before prep, and then by cleaning them off alcohol and a "dehydrator". Also do not pick at your nails because this will start lifting the press-on or extension. If they start to lift - REMOVE THEM! Keep them clean and do NOT paint over it, do NOT apply any fake nails/extensions until the area grew out!

I had this happen once. I use press ons occasionally. No glue. I get adhesive tabs off Amazon. With the right prep they last! WAY cheaper, too!

If I ever had green nails after getting them done, I'd never get fake nails again! Not worth it! 🤢

I know this does not have anything to do with this subject but my question is...Should a person stop using tretinoin during Chemotherapy?
@db-gb5xiКүн бұрын
I once had the greenies on one of my nails when I wore acrylics (water got trapped underneath). Once the nail tech removed the loose acrylic, did the usual prep for the fill-in, that was it. The nail grew out and I never had another episode.

I worked for a woman over 40 years ago who had beautiful nails. One day she comes in with no nails. Her nail beds were rotted away completely. I think I only pained my nails about 5 times after that. I always thought of nails as non-porous.

Hey Andrea! Can you do a react to the new "Diary of a CEO" podcast with the toxicologist expert? It has over a million views and is filled with so much misinformation about "harmful" every day products. She openly states that aluminum deodorant causes cancer in young girls. 🙃 I know how you feel about that claim! 😂 The whole comment section is filled with people agreeing with this "expert". It's so wild to me.

Misinformation according to who though? That word doesn’t make it so.

Dr Dray has not yet branched out. She is Western medicine all the way. Such a shame, she could be great!

@ I find when a doctor has gone through traditional university they have a very hard time embracing anything that isn’t drugs or artificial. Some have changed. My gp switched teams when seeing after 25 years of practicing medicine, no one got better. Now she invested a ton of money travelling for further education.
@db-gb5xiКүн бұрын
Lab Muffin did a recent short on that and said there are better toxicologists to listen to like Mo Skin Lab.

Fake nails are the worst thing for natural nails. Such a big waste of money.
@AshleyizaКүн бұрын
You don't have to avoid press ons. You just need to prep your nails properly before press ons. Push back cuticles, make sure your nails are super DRY and if you get a greenie it's okay.. It can be taken care of. I feel like this was not a very informative video
@sewitseams5632Күн бұрын
Agree, I have worn gels and acrylics continuously for 12 yrs and never had a greenie. It’s all in the prep and quick removal of a lifted nail if that happens. I would rather take advice from a nail tech on this issue.
