With all respect sir, I don't say what you teach in this video can't work. But in my opinion, the only way to check if it works or not is to test it against a muay thai or mma fighter. You should invite someone for a friendly sparring in order to see what happens...

Hi, I tried this kind of defenses against MMA people in the past and I can tell you that are effective. Especially the side kicks to intercept the opponent because in JKD as you probably know, we have no rules so we point to break the knee for example. The people that practice Kickboxing or other styles were the focus is on competition, have no possibility to develop this kind of attitude. Anyway, all my respect for every martial art and different opinions 🙏
