These tips saved my life! I don’t usually wear foundation during the summer because I’m afraid of sweating it off, but this made my makeup stick to place. Not only did these tips help prevent patchy areas, but my makeup lasted much longer and still looked flawless after 8 hours. Thank you so much! 🙏
@laurenodonnellf62676 жыл бұрын
Omg, Nikkia, you just changed MY LIFE! I have had issues with foundation staying on my nose for like 5 years. I’ve tried everything, powder first, setting spray, moisturizing with oil, eyeshadow primer and it helped, but it still didn’t fix my problem all the way. Then I watched this video and you said don’t use silicone and/or pore filing primers which I usually do. So yesterday I didn’t use my usual primer, I just used eyeshadow primer and omg!!!! my makeup actually stayed on my nose! It didn’t even get shiny until like the 7 hour mark! Thank you SO much!
@CheekyMissy6 жыл бұрын
I appreciate this. One thing I've been told regarding foundation that goes patchy is that your skin is dehydrated, so it's absorbing the water in the foundation and leaving behind the pigment. Sometimes you can combat patchy foundation just by applying a good moisturiser and hydrating primer - this is often a big help.
@katiebell8530 Жыл бұрын
I know this is an older video, but I stumbled across it yesterday after getting totally fed up with my foundation on my nose and cheeks being patchy even from application. I tried all of these tricks today and I just have to say, thank you so much! Even eight hours later, after being in and out of the Florida heat and misting rain, my makeup was practically flawless! I was worried that all of those layers might make my fave feel suffocated, but I followed your instructions to go light with the products, and it was just great! Thank you!

I have really bad skin texture and I'd recommend using a pore filling primer with a tacky setting spray on top of it before your foundation (e.g. TF Primed & Poreless and TF Hangover 3-in-1 spray), and then a good amount of a finely milled translucent powder and the same setting spray on top of foundation. I've found that this achieves the perfect balance of smoothness and longevity. Hope this helps!

Omg I just stumbled upon your “how to stop your foundation from rubbing off your nose” video. And then this one. I never thought there would be a hack for this! I went to ulta and asked one of their “professionals” why my foundation was doing that and what I should use for primer since I thought mine was the problem. The girl tried to sell me a $90 serum and told me to stop using primer cause it wasn’t needed 😒 (I didn’t buy the serum because wtf?!). These videos are SO GREAT! I have dry af skin so every other guru tries to suggest matte primer as the cure. I can’t wait to try out this hack!! I def hit that sub button 💕

I have extremely oily skin and my pores are HUGE. You’ve saved me with all these oily skin videos. I always feel like the odd man out because everyone seems to have dry skin.
@dimalin6 жыл бұрын
i find it weird because she highly recommends dr. brandt pores no more, and hourglass mineral veil primers. both of those are SUPER silicone based primers that fills your pores and gives you a velvety finish? i'm confused too because she's just contradicted herself big time, unless there's something we're missing here.
@lovemyrainydays6 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's contracting so much as recommending different products for different tasks. She likes the pore filling primers for just that - a super smooth look that maybe doesn't need to last all day, and this video's type primer for the all day without getting patchy extra-long wear time.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone was skeptical, these 1000% WORK! I'm gonna try setting spray in this order, because Ive been doing powder directly after foundation and it gets cakey. I NEED YOUR HELP!!! So two problems I have I know you said don’t pack on extra foundation but I have more I need to cover in terms of some melasma and some redness. Current foundation is Revlon colorstay tried to get the new maybelline 24 hr had to order online and came way too dark. Concealer is fitme, nyx hd translucent powder, milani prime shield primer but just switched to nyx angel veil after your best primers video. Also I’ve tried applying powder the way you suggested with a damp beauty blender and when I do it in the under eye area it gets cakey and really dry and accentuates every single fine line, darkness, gets patchy and everything and looks terrible!! I’m 38 and I have more combo skin I would say a little oily, a little dry and just have that more mature skin look than you but would love your help!!
