The dog will go by your energy. Are you a 'leader' type personality or a 'follower' type personality? If you have a strong assertive energy you can stop the unwanted behavior. If you show or have any sign of weakness or fear, that dog will and can pick up on that energy. You also have to understand your dog's bite. Is it a playful bite or more agressive/insecure/unsure bite? If the dog has a playful bite you have to teach the dog when and what type of biting is appropriate, e.g. playing with the dog you can allow your dog to 'bite' but you need to also know and understand the pressure of the bite. Having pull ropes with a ball attached is a good game of playful biting. Never use your hands unless you know what you are doing. I have learned that one myself and through that, it taught me the different pressure bites in play. I hope you understand what I am trying to say here. If the dog is trying to bite you when you are not paying the dog attention and he or she wants to play, you have to let them know, that now is not the right time just by either a word or a sound and your energy will let the dog know, that that is not the behavior you want at that time. When you iniciate the play and show the dog attention when you are ready, again the dog will pick up on your energy and think oh now daddy wants to play with me. Hope you get it sorted.

Bro, they got a Vizsla. My neighbour has a Vizsla. He would walk that dog one hour in the morning. Then go jogging with her for an hour and a half in the evening. And then right after the jog, she would run sprints around her backyard and bark at my dogs. Those dogs are **EXTREMELY** active. To a point where you have to walk them for over 2 hours a day, and for some Vizsla dogs that's still not enough exercise. Vizsla's are extremely athletic. Edit: Actually I can see her right now from my upstairs window doing laps in her backyard. lol

Vizsla are originally hunting dogs and I have seen them as well as a cousin of the breed the Rhodesian ridge back become great obedience and trialing dogs what you have written is just a case of someone not training their dog and in the case of the puppy not knowing how to train and socialise a puppy. What milan did has nothing to do with both just a simple trick you can teach any dog in five minutes which has nothing to do with informing the owner of the dog what they actually should be doing.

Ikr! We only have a little Bedlington cross whos 10 years old and we walk him 2/ 3 times a day for a good 3 hours in the morning at 8 am then a hour or so around 5pm and he still has energy when we get back from the walks😂 I don’t think a lot of people realise how much physical exercise their dog actually needs to stay fit and happy

Last night we finally made a hard decision to return her to the shelter. As a last-ditch attempt, we looked for the solutions and came across your video by luck. What a godsend!! I tried your approach this morning and it worked like a charm. She is incredibly smart and she gets it right away. The problem is never the dog; the key is how to find the effective way of communication so your dog knows its place and knows the boundary of what it can do vs. cannot. I saw someone being dragged by a several month old Dobie pup down the sidewalk today - I called to her, "Why don't you lose the harness and get a martingale collar?" I explained that using a harness connected on top of the dog was like the pup was pulling a sled! She claimed the dog is fine and it was because she was wearing slippers and sliding along the sidewalk. Geez give me a break.

People need to research the breed thoroughly before getting a puppy. And be brutally honest about your family and lifestyle before buying or rescuing. You need to be a good fit. There are really no bad dogs, use bad owners and behaviours. We spent almost 10 months going to the German Shepherd Association and learning about the breed,meeting the breeders and picking up training tips before agreeing to get a pup and being accepted by a breeder. My daughter loves them. We have had a working dog before but not this breed so we are learning every day with him. Of course we make mistakes but at training, he is possible the best behaved there due to just how much time my daughter spends with him, training him and bonding with him.

@Pro Justice you're wrong. People should inform themselvs before getting a puppy home. You can't wait for vizsla to be 5 months old to ask for help! That dog is stronger then avarage adult female and this woman most probably can't take him to a walk, jumping and biting aside.

Agreed, this is clearly a case of not researching the kind of dog that is good for a family, vizlas are not. They like one thing hunting. The Vizsla's medium size is one of the breed's most appealing characteristics. As a hunter of fowl and upland game, the Vizsla has held a prominent position among sporting dogs. If they wanted a cuddly family dog they should have gotten a golden retriever

what always worked when I was in Norway working with huskies, if the dogs biting is to hold their mouth closed, not rough or to the point of pain but just to cause discomfort and when they start whining continue to hold it for around 10 seconds after, and while initially it sounds bad to some, none of the 47 dogs there at the time and before had ever bitten any of the guests in the 12 years its been open.

What gets me is how many thousands of ppl get a dog, just to have a dog. An improper trained dog is pure chaos. If you want a dog, do your research on how to properly train it. Also, in this case, breed type plays into it. It needs a lot more stimulation and exercise than it's getting, which is why it's so chaotic.

Exactly! The owner only talked about what the dog does, how the dog is crazy, how the dog bites… Not once did she mention what THEY as owners actually do with the dog. How much do they really exercise him? How much mental stimulation does he get? My guess would be not much. People should never get a high-energy hunting dog if their lifestyle doesn’t match the dog’s needs. To me, this looked like a normal young dog who just desperately needs more activities to drain energy and more basic training. Having other dogs to play with would be good too. What also baffles me a lot of times is how many Americans don't walk their dog on a daily basis, sometimes not at all. Not saying these people don’t, but just came to my mind… Having a back yard is never the same as going on walks. Dogs need new sights and smells. All the dog owners I know walk their dogs at least 3 times a day, and that seems to be the norm in my country. If you don’t enjoy the outdoors, I think a dog is the wrong companion for you.
@EricaRasconYoga

Theoretically, sure. I've raised 9 cats and a German Shepard mix and our current Lab puppy is tough 🙃 My research suggested that a lab would be a great family-friendly pet as long as he got exercise and mental stimulation. Our 4-mo old lab has been gradually increased to an hour of exercise in addition to his training and ample chew toys and he's still a menace. We're still troubleshooting. Breed and research doesn't offer perfect results. Some pups just take extra work.

My German shepherd puppy doesn’t seem to understand any corrections at..all..! Just turned 8 weeks, is it too much to expect that he not be “mouthy”..? He’s not biting hard, it is getting better, but, I tend to avoid now as all the failed corrections pile up I don’t want to reinforce it. I also don’t want to constantly up the force of the corrections when he’s so young..last night he was trying to bite my foot through my socks, I tried lightly swatting his nose after the other loud sounds and tapping his side had zero impact, still, he just looks at me like “what are you doing that for?”

I have two GSDs , brothers... I learned to train them by watching many videos. You do have to be the alpha. Mine were not as much mouthing to me because they had each other to mouth. But I did have to make them lay on their side until I say they could get up when they disobeyed. (a few seconds) or hold their snout for a few seconds to let them know I was in charge. They did not eat their food until I told them they could eat. One was a hand full and kind of still is. He is stubborn and acts like a cat sometimes when wanting him to obey. (He even purrs when petting the right spot LOL) They are now 4years old and can walk off leash and obey. When a car comes I say car and they sit down until it goes by. Or I can say STOP and they will sit. They also know hand signals. I can call them off of rabbits or cats when one runs in front of them. It took a lot of one on one ...then both dogs together. They were socialized at dog dog parks from four months of age. They love people but when they are on leash they don't like dogs being near. They are okay with people being near. Off leash they are fine around dogs as long as the dogs know their place. German Shepherds will correct bad behavior in other dogs from time to time. Good luck, don't give up... Its worth it....I just wished the mounds of dog hair would get less and less... No such luck!
