Realistically I’d love to say that I’m living the life I want to live but I’m not, and it’s mainly because of finances. Living with a single mom who isn’t earning that much in a country like Jamaica where the cost of living is so high and many people are so poor has caused me to put some dreams on a back burner. All I can do is hope that one day before my time to leave earth arrives I’ll be able to do all the things that make my heart scream. Until then, I’ll live vicariously through you and these videos 😊

This comment has so much perspective and brings up privilege to the conversation . Many times we blame ourselves for a slow progress not even recognizing how many difficulties we are facing in the way. Be proud of every step you’ve taken to grow and keep looking forward with hope. Hope is what’s gonna keep you going.

I constantly live my life asking myself, "could i be doing more" and my answer is always yes. I've had amazing experiences and i've done things ill never forget and im very proud of. But this never ending quest for "doing the most" also brought to me the sensation that im not doing everything i possibly can and this often leads to frustration and sometimes to feel down on myself. Its hard to live your life to the fullest and keep your feet on the ground.

I've been going through a rough patch these past few years. My mental health has deteriorated rapidly over the past few months, and it has really impacted my responsibilities and life overall. I've wasted so much time. I've watched a couple of your videos, and you've given me a sense of clarity. You've inspired me. Thank you for making these videos, sharing your experiences, perspective and thoughts. Truly thank you.

Lovely as this sentiment is, it makes me worry about an overly hedonistic attitude to life, where it’s just about doing the things that YOU want to do. I don’t think not wasting your life has to mean solely doing nice things and ticking off your bucket list. You mention ‘Worrying about things you can’t change’ - A lot of people don’t realise how much power they do have to contribute to bigger changes with right intention commitment. As hard as life can be at times I think it’s important that everyone does think carefully about the biggest problems that the world faces and the role you might play in that. For me, you need to balance life with what you can take from it and enjoy, but also what you can give back, and this means taking on a level of responsibility and making sacrifices.

I feel like people numb themselves and get busy doing meaningless things not to think about and get in touch with the I AM. It is a strong subconscious wiring as the ego is desperate to survive. As so, you can only get over it subconsciously. Way to go.

@@LucyAlllan yess this will be my first time. My whole life I've wanted to go to Italy, so that's going to be the bulk of the trip, but depending on how much I can save over the next few months I'm hoping to start in Barcelona, then Italy, then Germany, explore nearby countries, then UK, then France, then Portugal and fly back home to Canada. Also ty for the info, it's just the quality is very dreamlike, that lense is wild. Thanks for the response :)

@LucyAlllan2 жыл бұрын
I actually work all year 30 hours a week whilst being a student (on top of doing these videos) so that when summer/winter break comes I have the time to travel. I’ve also done jobs like Aupair and Summer Camps so I can work and travel at the same time😌 I really recommend Interrail though cause it’s a cheaper way to see more and you can really do it on a budget!
