Can it be kept at room temperature or should it be refrigerated? Can it be frozen to last longer? In this video, we will explain how to store mushroom cream to prevent it from spoiling quickly.
How to Store Mushroom Cream:
Homemade mushroom cream should not be left at room temperature for too long. Never leave it out for more than two hours, as it is perishable and can propagate bacteria. It should always be refrigerated.
To store in the refrigerator, transfer it to an airtight container. Homemade mushroom cream will last up to four days in the refrigerator.
If the can of mushroom cream is unopened, it can be kept at room temperature in a cool, dry place, such as a pantry. It will last up to five years in the can, but always check the expiration date on the label.
If you open the can of mushroom cream and don’t use it all, transfer the leftovers to an airtight container and refrigerate. The leftovers will last the same amount of time as homemade mushroom cream, up to four days.
