WOOT, finally someone that tells you the truth and NOT to use a leader straightner. I comment on so many fly shops about the danger of leaderstraightener they are advication in the video. I like when ever a flyshop video show trying a knot is they use a foot of leader material. I remember on flyshop I was at in Missouri where the owner was an honest guy and we figured out how to wast the samest amount of leader material tying a clinch know. Which is a half inch if your not careful and maybe even less but the half inch is okay.

One man’s opinion. Let’s be honest, most fly fisherman do not have the time or the patience to tie their own. Most tapered leaders are fine.
