I got fed up with some games having issues with either joystick or Mouse in Parsec and Steamlink. So I created a battery based pizero that handles all the Mouse/Joystick connectivity back to the main PC. Good vid, just pulled out my Pi5 to try it out

Hi, thank you for sharing this amazing content! I had a question though, what controllers would you recommend using with the pi?

Very good tutorial, well done. Will give this a go. The latest higher graphic version of Counter Strike did appear to stutter. Perhaps you could have added another few minutes demoing some gameplay...

How much RAM is the system using with Steam Link running/what's the minimum RAM version of the Pi needed for a quality experience?
@Core-Electronics26 күн бұрын
We found that for 1080 streaming 2gb was more than enough, but a 4gb model wouldn't hurt.

everything works, but it makes me press start playing to get into steam. Is there anyway to automate pressing the start playing to bypass that?

Hello Thank you for all the great material shared on this channel. Can you share how to connect a Fingerbot or Switchbot to Raspberry PI via Bluetooth and how can be controlled with a Python script?

Hey, I've tried many versions of rasbian, but either steamlink doesnt want to download (on non GUI version i get some error message) and on GUI ones i get X11 error which I cant workaround although i trid ian colwell workaround soution. My RPI3 is too bad or what should i do to make it work :PP
@wedishprocentahcАй бұрын
As far as I can see, it should just work by sudo apt install steamlink after some recent steamlink update, but in ma case it just don't :c

We were only able to do this on a Pi 4 and 5 and had some similar issues on the Pi Zero 2W. We fixed ours by installing Bookworm OS, then opening raspi-config and changing the desktop compositor to LabWC. Then we opened no-GUI mode with ctrl + shift + f2. and then we were able to run steamlink from there! Unsure if this will work, just reporting what we managed to do on our Pi Zero 2W.

@@Core-Electronics ok, i got pi zero aswell so maybe im just gonna use it with your solution, will let you know the outcome on pi3 (prolly at weekend)

There's an older method for Steam Link on the Pi that worked up to and including 3, iirc you had to be using the Buster release of Raspbian. Latter updates to Raspbian broke compatibility with that old version of Steam Link, which this new release now fixes - but it looks like the focus is on Pi 4 & 5 hardware compatibility. The old method probably still works, may take a bit of googling to find it.
