Now I know I did the right thing by investing in a boot stretcher. And I did apply the alcohol and water solutions exactly how you did. Many videos suggest spraying the finished part of the leather which I didn’t feel safe doing . Thanks doctor.

The extra detail of only wetting the inside was better than other videos. Question would be, do I take out the bottom insert of my shoes (the cushy insert that has arch support when wetting the inside? I'd say yes.
@frugalfoot49738 ай бұрын
I would remove any insert that comes out.

I recently bought a pair of leather loafers. I noticed my right foot is causing the back of the shoe to crease. The does fit snug around the side of my foot

what is the purpose for using alcohol and water? is water only good enough to have the same effect?

Long process, use a shoe stretcher and a garment steamer, that’s all, steam the area and put in the shoe stretcher, then make passes for about 20 mins, leave the stretcher in the shoe for 3hrs and like magic, you have some room lol

would I purchase the ladies heel stretcher since I'm trying to stretch out my black leather platform heeled boot? it's kinda like a punk rockish kinda boot if you could imagine it.
@frugalfoot49733 жыл бұрын
If the heel of the shoe is higher than the toe by more than an inch I probably would buy the ladies heel stretcher.
@jayyscales22363 жыл бұрын
@@frugalfoot4973 there is no slant like an actual heel. It's like a regular shoe on top of a platform "stage" kinda thing. so I'd say it was all the same length. I wish we could post pictures in the comments so you could get a better vision of what I mean.

I have a question, why do you need to put alcohol in the mixture? Can you just use water by itself?
@frugalfoot49734 жыл бұрын
I think you can do either. Do some research online. I think I recall watching a video a while ago where the individual did both.
