My gamer is a clutch sl with a high pita pocket. That thing is made to rip! Love it as an attackmen and even when I play middie for my other team its great because the pocket shifts so easily for 1 handed cradling. I string a lot of these. But can you put up a tutorial on how to string that thing you used to finish the center? I've never seen that before. The one I use is the same one as you use for a kobra pocket but The black widow finish you used looks much better. Please get back to me.

I strung one a couple weeks ago and the leathers finally decided to soften up yesterday for some weird reason so I had to fix it but the pocket really does move with the ball. Feels really good but I'm finding it hard to get the right amount of whip and hold. As soon as I tighten the pocket there isn't enough hold but any deeper and there's too much whip. Any ideas/help?
@vonmilash8238 жыл бұрын
Typically you don't need a really deep pocket to get good hold and whip in a traditional. You can try making your two outer leather a little shallower and if possible, move them in a top string hole. In my experience it has more to do with your shooting string set up. In fact, modern mesh doesn't even really need shooting strings... shooting strings historically are meant more for traditional pockets so the ball wouldn't hit the top of the stick / head.

would you suggest a defenseman having a traditional pocket

will the pocket get messed up if you play it in the rain? I know that it'll happen to a mesh pocket but i was just wondering since it's made out of leather

I had a traditional pocket. Played 3 games with it and it was good. One game it rained randomly and then the pocket got messed up. It only threw down. Is that with all traditional pockets?

random thought, the current ncaa rules doesnt allow multi color mesh. would this apply to a traditional pocket? as far as the leathers and cross laces. maybe just all the same cross laces?
