Oh my gosh, Joel, this was SUPER helpful for me. I’ll be watching this video over and over. Thank you! 😊

Cool, that's great to hear. I thought the video might be a bit tedious but I thought that if I really go into some of the details, it could really help people if they watched the whole thing. 😉

Hello, which strings were you using on your instruments?

Yes, which strings
@KennedyViolins2 күн бұрын
The strings on the violin are the same as they always are. INFELD RED I believe. I don't have a particular affinity for these strings. I have a bunch of violins around and I just picked up that one that was probably strung this way to test for another video. However, the sound was HORRIBLE in this video. I had trouble with one of the mics. In the next videos, the sound is much better. 😀

@@KennedyViolins i gotcha, thank you for replying. Any particular reason you aren't fond to the Infeld Red sounds?

@@shiki7689 Oh, I'm not saying I'm not fond of the strings, it's just that I don't have a lot of experience with them and have always run to other strings like Obligatos or Evahs but I am surprised at how good the violin is sounding these days as it gets broken in, so perhaps these are great strings. A lot of people really like them.

Would you suggest practicing more than one piece at a time or multiple ones
@KennedyViolins2 күн бұрын
What determines how many pieces you practice, is the amount of focus that you are able to devote to each piece. If you are can practice "enough" and be systematic in your approach (like how I showed in this vid), then practicing multiple pieces is perfectly fine. Generally, the more advanced a player is, or the more time they have, they will work on multiple pieces. For example, the typical advanced high school student would be working on scales, etudes, a major concerto/sonata, and a small piece of some kind, like a Bach of some sort.
