I am going to be an incoming freshman this fall at USF! I got both Bio and Gen Chem put on my schedule for the fall semester. Do you think that is an okay mix, or do you suggest adjusting?

Considering it’ll be your first semester, I’d say pick one or the other. If you find the class easy, then you can always take them together in spring since you’ll be following the sequence (chem 1, chem 2 or bio 1, bio 2).

Do the classes seem hard to you? I was accepted into usf, but I don’t feel as if my high school prepared me for college when it comes to the sciences at all, so i feel quite intimidated 😅. Is it mainly about how you study and your study habits, or do you have to be really smart in order to grasp the materials?

I would say that putting in the time and effort will get you further than actually being smart lol. Being smart doesn’t matter, as long as you’re dedicated, you’ll do find.
