@@vincenthumble Probably not me as I already do as much scripting I I'd like.. and honestly more than I'd care to admit in both powershell and bash. I' glad to see a youngster doing the certs (I am already a CISSP, so personally ripping through the comptia * + certs isn't particularly a big deal.. its mostly review of crap I've learned over the last 25 years of doing IT).. but I'm really excited to see folks just stepping out and learning the material.. The info in the certs is good stuff.. even if it's not the most advanced. A good base is always best built on, and it hurts my soul to have to remind junior folks that the first step in the issue troubleshooting is ... CONFIRM/RECREATE the issue... makes me die inside a little very time

It has hard questions and goes more indepth. It's hard to remember it all. Congrats!! I have been dragging my feet with this class. Just feels so overwhelming. Every time I learn one thing, it feels like I forget it by the time I learn the next thing cause there seems like there is so much to try and remember. It might be time to revise on how you study for the Exam. Personally I used to try and go over and over the videos, writing them down in as much details as possible, but I found out about active recall through a youtube video and it's really helping me retain everything. There's an app in the app store called "QuizLet" and it generates some really cool flashcards (there's a lot out there for the N+ too or you can create your own). Another thing I did was instead of writing about the topics as notes I instead wrote questions about the videos I was watching and then after the video I would look at my questions and try my best to answer them. I would do this for every video and then once I reach the end of a topic (let's say network security) I would go through all my questions and try to answer them all.
@bojax Жыл бұрын
@@deminmichael5808 That's interesting...hadn't thought about writing questions based on the video before. I think I had a bit of a revelation last week. After going through Messers's videos again (and now finishing up Dion's), the concepts and ideas are finally starting to click into place as I understand how everything fits together. Before, I was so concerned about trying to remember every little detail from Cat and fiber designations to port numbers that I had brain overload and wasn't fully digesting the concepts. Now that I feel like I'm more comfortable in that area, I'm going back and focusing on the memorization parts like port numbers, acronyms, etc. It feels different this time around. After that, I'll take Dion's practice tests to see how I do, and go off of that to hone in on any areas I'm still weak in and go from there.
