So many wonderful ideas. I'll add (or emphasize?) one more - add a flat surface for your guests to put down their stuff. Don't have every surface decorated, and also, give them a surface! My interior designer recommended adding a small dresser at the side of the bed rather than a nightstand, and then only have a lamp on it. I think it's also good to think of a GOOD hotel room.

I would be delighted to be a guest in any of the rooms you showed. My one suggestion for guest rooms or B&B rooms is to leave plenty of space on top of bedside tables and dressers for your guests to put their things. This may mean holding back a bit on decorative items, but your guests will thank you.
