The biggest surprise was how good the split harmony outfit looked on you! I would never have mixed these colours and yet it was really cute! This was a very interesting video. I learnt a lot! Such as 'monochrome' doesn't have to mean black and white, and also the difference between tint, shade and tone, and also how they should not be confused with pastels due to the saturation. I was listening! :) Thanks for this! I shall be applying this to my outfit planning. Another great video!

Trust me, I was as surprised as you, I thought I might look awful styling all the complementary colors! This was also such a good learning experience for me as well, both as a designer and fashion content creator! :) I hope this'll inspire you to find new ways to play with color in your closet (or even other areas of your life)! 🥰

i think the most important thing for color matching is to really understand the difference between warm and cool. there are warm blues and cool reds!! looking at color palettes and training the eye to recognize subtle differences really pays off while matching separates. it’s amazing how many colors you can put together if the warm/cool and saturation are similar enough i like to color max by wearing a main piece with a small pattern with lots of colors and then pulling out those colors in the accessories. why choose one accessory color when i can use all of them? 😂 these looks are so cute i esp loved the green in the split complementary !

That's so cool that you add many of the same colors in the accessories, I should try that out more (I usually pick max 1-2 of the colors in my outfit in accessories). The split complementary outfit definitely surprised me cuz I was like 80% sure it wouldn't look good! :O Funny how well the color harmonies work~

Thank you for this wonderful video! I love all the outfits you created, I'm not someone who is drawn to highly saturated colours for my wardrobe, I'm more of a muted colour person but do love colours, so your outfits were wonderful inspo for me!

You're welcome, thank you for watching! 💕I'm not into very maximalist colorful outfits either (which is why I struggled styling all the color palettes in the end haha), but I think these concepts of certain color combinations help spark inspiration when we feel stuck!
