I spent the last 35 years with either frizzy poofy hair or straitening it until it was dry and brittle. Eventually I just left it in a braid or bun. Today I bought the Ouidad gel she used and did everything as she did and let me tell you, Best Hair Day EVER. Today was the first day of my life that I loved my hair and felt my natural curls were beautiful instead of a pain. I want to thank you Veronica your video changed the way I feel about my hair.

this is EXACTLY what I wanna be able to do with my natural hair (once it's long enough) my hair is naturally super curly, frizzy and boofy as hell (especially when it's dried and brushed.. I look like simba) anyone else have hair like mine? has this tutorial worked for you?
@Lilyletsgo111 жыл бұрын
Yep it has. Most of the hair that is frizzy is naturally curly. You just need to try scrunching your hair after the shower and stop using the hair brush! Also try using a hair mask to hydrate your hair (hair gets frizzy when it super dry) :)

@ZypherAerie8 жыл бұрын
My hair is naturally very thick, so I never diffuse. I'd end up looking like Cousin It, all hair. I detangle and condition my hair every day in the shower. After applying conditioner, rinse lightly, you don't want to rinse all of the conditioner out. Then apply your styling product (cream or gel) through you wet hair. Flip your hair upside-down and scrunch. Grab a soft t-shirt or a micro-fibre towel, flip your hair upside-down again and scrunch the excess water out. Flip back, part your hair and air dry.

Just make sure you use sulfate and silicone free products, condition your hair, apply your preferred hair product (mine are DevaCurl no poo and One condition finishing with Curl Keeper) and plop! You’ll be good to go it 10 minutes. Keep in mind this is more for 3B hair type (my hair type). I don’t know yours but I hope this helps!
@totallyanalien71816 жыл бұрын
Heyo try cutting out shampoo and using sulfite and sulfate free conditioner. Then use it to rake your fingers through your hair while showering. DO NOT come your hair when you get out of the shower. Get a towel (preferably microfiber) and scrunch your hair to soak up moisture. (If you have a product to define hair scrunch it in after) Then let it air dry or diffuse. Put your hair up in a pineapple when you go to sleep to keep those girls for a THE next day. They hair may look a little misshaped at first give it a few minutes to settle then scrunch product in to define

very normal but I do advise NOT letting her do any damage to them I did regretfully and have spent the last year trying desperately to get them back my mom always liked to tell me how much money people would spend to have hair like that tell her she is beautiful and super models and celebrities (maybe even use her favorite) would pay high bucks for her hair and teaching her proper ways to deal with it is another suggestion that is why I cut mine (bad mistake) sorry this is so long I saw your comment and NEEDED to reply

The diffuser doesn't work well for everyone. It makes my hair way to frizzy. So I take a cloth and crunch the hair up like she does with the diffuser but with a wrag or towel. But I don't dry it completely that way. I also let it air dry on it's own for a little bit

She has another video using mousse. Buy a volumizing mousse which I like better than any other kind. I get it from Amazon it's called Schwarzkopt got 2b kinkier. It is a gloss and Define curling mousse. My hair is natural curly and fine. Therefore sometimes it looks crunchy or limp if I don't let it air-dry at least 75% before I use my diffuser. I want to start using root clips to increase the lift but I unable to locate any like her other video.

The last time I went through a rebellious color craze and I've been bleaching it and have grown out a Mohawk and now have a long blonde and purple Mohawk that has a mind of its own. Half of it wants to curl and the other half wants to wave or be straight and o couldn't figure out why. This tutorial saved me from shaving my head again. Thank you so much!!!! Great tutorial! I use Ouidad products and follow this technique for drying my curls and it works very well! It may seem time consuming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it goes very quickly and the curls lasts for days without any enhancements. Thanks for sharing you own expert tricks mixed into this styling method, Veronica! Well done!!!

I do know one thing don't EVER allow them to use thinning shears on your hair or "texturize" it as they like to call it! It's a complete NO NO for naturally curly hair. The last time I got mine cut the lady started to do it and I said "NO" she went on and of course talked me into it, worst mistake ever!! Came home and noticed every end of my hairs looked like a rat chewed on it! If the b**** knew anything she should've known that you DO NOT use thinning shears on naturally curly hair. This was 6 mos ago and I am still dealing with the mess she made of my hair. I was never so mad in my life!!

Helena S My hair is short, about 4-5 inches but the next day I sprits with water and finger comb and scrunch it. You can also use a bit of conditioner. Then more gel if needed.
@Thestylecurls9 жыл бұрын
Helena S make sure you are sleeping on a satin or silk pillowcase. Have you tried putting your hair in a pineapple over night? Also, water reactivates the product in your hair, so spritzing and scrunching usually works without adding more product, so try that first! Then add product as needed. I hope we were helpful! Simply GORGEOUS...very angelic curls I've been searching for helpful tips on curly hair. My hair, 20+ yrs ago, was thick and super curly. Majority of the salons I've tried want to razor or use thinning shears * YIKES!!!so needless to say I just trim the ends myself. Coconut oil, for me, helps my course hair feel soft and doesn't have that "crunchy" feeling. I personally don't use any gels or mousse, makes my hair way to stiff. I've tried, I bet, at least 50 different styling products, and the one that works the best for my hair type is Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk....I apply a very generous amount, rake it through my damp hair and scrunch with a cotton tshirt, and allow to air dry. Final results I'm VERY HAPPY with my curls now :)

Okay, I have a problem. I have curly hair but whenever I use a diffuser (even with it on the lowest heat and setting) my hair gets VERY frizzy and gross. This means that I use the plopping method which is washing your hair at night and putting it into a T-shirt while you sleep (just search for it on KZbin). But this looks so stupid and I don't want to have to do this when I'm older and have a partner. I could take a shower in the morning and let it air dry but that takes hours and I don't want to get up so early. Is there any alternate method I could use? I could really use some help.

I would love to see some videos about different updos for curly hair- I just always wear it down because I don't know what else to do with it. Thanks!!!! :)

You are LOVELY!!! I have curly hair but no where near the beautiful volume you have! Will have to experiment some with the diffuser and see if I can get better results. Thanks for the video!

a long time, I personally have curl hair and the process of styling does take quite a long time, people think you just scrunch and go but it takes a lot longer and more work that straight hair, this used to take me about 30 minutes everyday, just the hair

OMG! I also have curly hair..and I´ve wached tones of youtube videos of how to style your natural curly hair and this one is the best by far. Where have you been girl? Why didn´t I found you sooner? I really loved it

Omg your hair is freaking GORGEOUS!!!! I barely have been using my diffuser 3 times since I got it, but it's a universal diffuser so I always feel that the thing will melt because it's plastic if I keep it on low heat for too long, but I will do this :) I live my curls mire now that I've used the amazing thing ❤❤❤❤

Beautiful hair, but wow! do you do this every morning? I have thin hair and will try this on a saturday, but there's no way I have that much time every work day. Thanks for the tips/ideas. I will see what works for me.

I ❤️❤️❤️ your video. You have given me so many great tips. My favorite tip was the heightening of flat areas. Now I know how to fix that problem. 🌸

My daughter has super curly hair. I have been using catwalk because it's the only thing that keeps her hair under control. I will try your technique to see if it helps. Thank you for sharing.

you can cheat on the rake and shake method with larger sections, (i do and it still works) I also air dry my hair for at least an hour before hitting it with the dryer. SO in that time, I get dressed feed the dog etc, then one of the last things I do before I leave is hit my hair with my dryer/diffuser. SOMEtimes I will clip up my roots on the way to work or where ever, and they shake them out before I get out of the car. (I have TOTALLY gone into the gas station with clips in!! haha)

Your hair is absolutely beautiful! My hair is a lot like yours, but with tiny spirals at my temples. I'm going to buy more Ouidad products and try this routine. Thanks for the great video

I am so gonna try this. My hair is just as curly and I'm stuck in this mousse and hairspray routine. The top part is always flat and it annoys the hell out of me. I'm so trying this. Thank you!

Yessss thank you for this! My hair curls are similar to yours and I've been wanting to try a diffuser forever so I just got one and its so nice to not have to wait all day for my hair to dry haha and the curl clips were such a good idea! I always get flat on the top of my hair so I'm currently trying these clips out. Thanks boo! Gorgeous all around!

A diffuser helps natural curls be more defined and less frizzy. It gives them lots of volume and they are more tamed. :)

OMG! This tutorial was fantastic. I have the exact same kind of hair and I am looking for a blow dryer. I always make my hair straight in the winter and I no longer want to go through the 3 hour process. I love and prefer my hair curly. So this was helpful. What do you know about the blow dryers that have the negative/positive ionic switch?

You have gorgeous curls, no lie! I have a ton of hair and when its wet it looks like yours, just a little bit thicker, but when it gets dry my curls get frizzy! Your hair seems like its frizz-free which I really love

I usually pull it up, and wrap a band that won't dent my hair. I mouse a little next morning and use the diffuser to prep it up.
