Beautiful !!! I like the plants which set off each display. Plants can transform any area! My kitchen is very vintage and was not very interesting until I thought: What would have to happen for me to say, "I LOVE my kitchen!" ? That is when I started to embrace the space and create little islands of interest. You are such an inspiration!! .

I was so excited to watch this video. My kitchen is over 25 yrs old. It’s high time for an update. I not only look for the pretty but functionality is imperative. I enjoy cooking and baking and I prefer my stuff to be close at hand but yet outta sight when not in use. I would really like to see how you organized your inside of the cabinets. Do you have a butlers pantry where you store your cooking essentials, coffee machine etc?

Lovely kitchen. An idea for another way to style those open shelving so they don’t look so busy could be one element for each shelf? So one shelf of ceramics next shelf black items, and last shelf brass! More relaxing on he eye!

Since those are the plates we use daily they do not accumulate dust since they are constantly being washed + used ❤

I love my open shelving! Yes you have to dust it but it’s so worth it because of the style that the displays add. Plus, it’s really easy to grab things that you use every day.

@@hsmd4533 I see your point. But definitely not for people who have pet cats. Their hair gets everywhere unless it’s a closed cabinet. Any open shelving is a primary attraction for them.

I love this kitchen, well done! Wanted to ask, is there a standard spacing should be considered between a countertop and a hood fan? Looks like this hood on video is sitting higher than standard. It looks amazing but our kitchen guy is talking about it being placed lower, worried I might be touching it with my head. Please let me know what is your distance between the countertop and hood. Our hood is 34" off the top of our range and we have 10ft ceilings. Honestly, it's totally personal preference. I'm pretty short, 5'3" and my hubs is 6ft and it works perfect for us!!! But, we have a client we just finished a kitchen for that's 6'5" and we did the hood much higher for him!

Love everything, except for bowls stacked on top of the plates since you would have to move a bowl if you wanted a plate. It looks great though.

This was amazing! Did you fill the entire pot with the moss or did you put some kind of filler and then add the moss to the top?

I added a small glass vase inside to hold the water and the stems, then added in craft paper around the edges to fill the void. Then added the moss on top. Thanks for watching!!!!

My kitchen has a black faucet and pot filler. The counter tops are white quartz with veins. Cabinets are white. The island is black. My dilemma is the hardware. Is brushed nickel, brush gold, or black the best for my cabinet hardware? I’m open to any of those. I’ve went back and forth. Please help….😀

No, they stay up there all the time, our range has a little ledge on the back that they sit on, and the vent hood pulls everything upwards! I've had that antique wooden one up there for about 4 years.

It's a beautiful kitchen. I wish the styling were more practical though. I wouldn't decant olive oil in clear glass and also wouldn’t put the oil next to the window. The light will just degrade the quality of olive oil. I also wouldn't put the wooden chopping board next to your gas stove.

Open shelves are for sure a personal preference. We have clients that love them and others that don't want a single open shelf in sight!

I think the side table sitting byw the 2 white chairs is overdone. Despite the carefully curated 'interest, movement, repetition, etc - to me it just looks cluttered. Where would one put a book, magazine, or phone while relaxing in 9ne of these chairs. Not very functional, imo, and functionality should also be considered along with the curated styling. JMO😊

We all have our own visual limitations when it comes to styling for sure. I love a collected grouping, but have clients that prefer a more edited, paired back vignette. Just go with what you love in your home, that's really what it's all about. Thanks for watching!
