I don't disagree with you on external spirits, but I do believe one should practice or get to know ones own kabbalah tree very very well. You can gain power through your own instead of working with external spirits. It's like knowing your own car engine and how it works. Let's say you know how to scan with yesod. The more you practice with that sephira the stronger you become in scanning and knowing right from wrong information you are looking for. You can scan stocks and find out without looking what stocks in the market are good or not and make money. This should be common sense to magicians. Let's say you use gebura and you know how to use that sephira to warm up the body on a very cold day. You don't need an external spirit to teach you. Your own will teach you for sure. Eliphas Levi warns in transedental magic that one should know thyself fully before contacting external spirits. I'd agree fully with him. I have major issues with magicians that don't teach this anymore. Some may disagree with me and that's fine. I feel knowing the self and working on your own Sephiras and knowing the energies are more important than bugging other external spirits for things one can gain on their own.

I am very psychic and also a vivid dreamer. That is, until became too comfortable with the gifts I was given from my invocations. I smoke weed every single day now. Although I love doing this, it completely hinders all of my oysychic abilities and dreams. I can't even communicate with my cat anymore. I'm too stoned. The dreams have also ceased. I want to get back to the dreaming, but I love weed too much. Every time i quit weed, I have crazy dreams on the third or fourth night of sobriety. My mind becomes aware again.

You really just need to have a human body to summon a spirit...The circle, candles, all the tools are fanfare...ur body is the gate..just give em permission to pass through. Forgive me if I sound adversarial but the truth is you are the conduit. I have found if you focus on a particular body part to serve as that gate, you can just pull them out of you, the medium.. And I challenge the audience to write their own invocations, because something personal will have more power.

Such a book does not exist. Experience is the best teacher. You are still too early in your journey to deal with such things as spirits I do not recommend it, however you are more than free to try. I can recommend a entry level book that can provide a solid foundation of knowledge to begin your journey, understanding the universal laws and knowing how to practically apply the concepts in your day to day will set you apart from the rest. Just google the Kybalion and remember that all power comes from within. Sometimes messing with spirirts can get ugly this is why I only recommend it for seasoned and experienced mages. Safe travels friend I hope I was of help.
