i downloaded my chosen drivers, and DDU. 1. swapped GPU. 2. run DDU. 3.Delete drivers with the wipe and restart option. 4. ran my chosen drivers. 5. all done. didnt turn off wifi and downloaded drivers before i even deleted my old drivers, worked spot on, resolution never changed upon restart. also on DDU, im from the uk and used Netherland option. Fantastic video.

Replace my RX 5700XT with a Nvidia card? NEVER! 🤣 I'm getting that PC building itch again. I'm really thinking of building a water cooled custom desk PC. That would be the perfect place to put a new Ryzen 5950X and 6000 series GPU. For water cooling I think I'd go with an EKWB EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 360 Pump/Reservoir Combo, a couple 360mm radiators, a dozen or so high static pressure fans. for that situation first download the nvidia driver, then DDU and remove the radeon GPU drivers reboot and then you can install the nvidia drivers either manually or let windows update do it for you

you could try that way, these days because of APUs and onboard graphics AMD software has to co-exist with nvidia so it might not be such an issue now. the DDU software is not language dependant so just get it from the closest region for speed. all the downloads are exactly the same file just hosted in different regions

What do you do in the situation where after you change to the Nvidia GPU from AMD, that you get a black screen after you boot up? I see a lot of videos talk about this when it works but not when it doesn't and how to fix it. I ask because I have had this issue and I returned the card to the seller, they tested it and it's a fully working card and they are away to send it back to me.

I was following this step by step but once I plugged in my new graphics card, everything was running, but I met a blank screen and my mouse and keyboard did not light up. Do you have any suggestions?

@@jamie5403 yes actually. My graphics card was PCIe4 and my motherboard supported this. But my graphics card wasn’t directly connected to the motherboard. It was connected to the pcie riser that came with my mini-ITX case, which only supporter up to PCIe3. So I had to switch back to my old graphics card and go into the motherboard BIOS settings and change it so that it would only support PCIe3. (Before it was automatically supporting PCIe4). Then I swapped the graphics cards out and everything worked. I did buy a new PCIe riser (costs around 70 bucks) and changed the bios setting back to automatic for the better gaming experience. Hope this help! The new graphics cards are pcie4, but most risers only support up to pcie3, so check what your riser supports! If it only supports pcie3 and below, change the settings in the BIOS

i would just disable the onboard APU in the BIOS after installing the card then load into windows and install the nvidia drivers. If that doesn't work then DDU it

Why is running this program in safe mode considered “safer” than normal mode

In normal mode windows has some of the files in use and has “hooks” into some of the shared files and dlls so safe mode releases those files so the os and DDU can easily remove or replace them.
