Man, the video is good, but there was a problem. I did everything right, in 3ds max I prescribed the same size for the wheels. As a result, in assetto one wheel is bigger than the other

how do you change the scale factor. I'm unable to update it. Its stuck on 37

Well normally you would change the scale factor by selecting a different unit. So if it’s in inches then click the drop down on the units and select meters for example

My question is, after it's saved, the new wheel textures will go in the texture folder, but what about the persistence? When you load the car in ks editor, how do you get the wheels done right without starting over from scratch

Put the persistence file next to the texture folder! So not inside the texture folder but in the same parent folder that the texture folder is in

Hi nice tutorials, Ive imported an unpacked car and into max 2017, did some mods and exported. Loaded into Kseditor and some shaders have lost their attributes which becomes tedious to fix Any ideas why this is happening. This also happens with kunos cars too, thanks

If you haven’t already, you need to save persistence with the shaders and textures in kseditor. Make sure to have your textures all in the same car folder as your project and in kseditor>file>save persistence

Don’t do any texture work inside 3ds. Doing textures in 3ds will not translate to the game. You have to do all texture work in kseditor

whenever i import the second car, parts on the car i want to swap the wheels too end up being moved from their places, is there any way to fix that?

When you add the second car a menu pop up. On that menu is scale factor ect, on the top of that menu you can choose how to add the car, i think you have it selected at add and update . you need to have only add so not add and update.

Did you enable dev mode? And then also install the fbx converter plugin?

If you’re referring to like rotating the view of the car in your viewport then just hold alt and hold your mouse wheel and rotate around the car

In blender/3dsmax, grab all the objects inside the dummies/parents and scale to whatever size you want. Do not select the dummies or that will screw it up. And that’s it pretty much

@@MamiyaMotors I made the Rims in 3ds max bigger but when I go into CM Showroom and I click on "align using data" I see on one place all 4 rims but not the car itself

There was probably a dummy that was moved or changed somehow. I would try to redo. Trying to fix it might just cause more issues

When you're in dev mode in content manager there's a button to unpack data, it should automatically put you in the data folder for that car

You need to make sure you have developer mode turned on by clicking the version number in the about tab. And then also make sure the fbx converter plug-in is installed in the plugins tab

I don’t think you’re in dev mode if you don’t see an fbx converter plugin. But also some cars are encrypted so you won’t see the unpack kn5 option in showroom

@@xperimentalracing4081 go to content manager settings > about > click on the version number a lot and it should prompt you to go into dev mode or it might say you are already in dev mode

First enable dev mode, then go to plugins in the cm settings and install the fbx converter
