I like to swim because it feels weightless and unique to move through water. Good exercise that works the whole body and doesn’t pound the knees.

I know it’s kind of late but I love swimming because it’s fun simple answer but it’s the reason I love the feeling of gliding through the water and improving technique and I love that I finally found a sport that I enjoy and will never let go of I love when I have a goal and reach it the best feeling In the world is when you touch that wall and see that you have dropped time and you realize that all those days were you just wanted to stop or the pain you feel during those hard long days of practice it was all worth it and it finally all came together. I started swimming last summer and will never go back I couldn’t live without it thank you for making these amazing videos they always help so much the reason I know how to swim butterfly is because of your videos I never learned from a coach I had to teach myself and these videos are the reason I can.

I like to swim cuz I feel more comfortable under water cuz I feel weightless and feels like flying since flying is impossible without any equipment then water is the healthiest option

Well presented-- Actually as an “exercise” I try to INCREASE my drag as one of my exercises to develop muscles - so I purposely drop my legs-- also as a warmup Towards middle of session I work on correct technique-- I limit my time to about 40 minutes due to sinus issues, so I also wear NOSE CLIPS-- only bc if I do not use nose clips then I get a stuffy nose-- I like dynamic stretching prior to getting in water by swinging my arms All of my swimming is interval training no longer than 200 yards at a clip At end of training I always sprint 25’s of ten hard strokes-- I want to feel refreshed after the workout , not tired 😴-- I liked your video!!!

thats awesome and i good point! i would just like to say that sometimes id you get used to dropping your legs, then it can ruin your technique, but since you seem to fix your technique toward the middle of practice it seems to be fine. Just thought i would mention it for maybe newer swimmers

"Looking at the fish down below you... Maybe you don't like that, just close your eyes..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 @dotryan68: it is so true! When I was a child, I always had a big desire to be able to breath underneath water, I always felt/feel so safe, expanded, connected: it's home!

I like to swim because water gives us an life saving opportunity, how? When we jump in, water brings us up so lets grab that opportunity do not drown but skill ourself to swim and move forward. Also its one medium where human self can cross through.
