You may want to double check with Apple support if there is an issue with the tool or if you are using it correctly. 😊

You would have to sync them manually, however if you wanted to do any testing you can also just mute the specific clip and then test. :)

I've been aware of the auto-sync, but haven't tried it - I usually use a clapper board, or three handclaps to synch, then manually align. This could be a real timesaver.. thanks again..

I have 50 different people and 50 different clips in a project. Is there a way to highlight them all and set them all to match one uniform volume? Some are currently low volume and some are loud.

You can't sync them all at once, they should be individually managed.

That sounds like a specific issue to your footage, you may need to reach out to Apple or your camera producers to see if there is an issue with your devices or the format of the audio.

ok..but what if I'm editing a podcast with 3 hosts? I have 1 video and 3 tracks recorded on a zoom. I need to sync all 3 audio track to the video but I need to keep them separate so I can editing the audio on each track manually (since all 3 voices a different). Can you do this in FCP like you can in Premiere?

You should be able to sync all three tracks to the same video. 😊 The official apple support article talks about syncing multiple video/audio clips so it is definitely possible. support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/sync-audio-and-video-verc1fabc30/mac

I want to make a drum cover. Can I use Synchronize clips with Audio/Video I recored of myself and a drumless track of the cover recording? These were obviously not created at the same time. Can final cut pro determine the "beat" of the two clips?

This guide applies to audio and video shot at the same time. You would have to do some manual syncing of the audio for a clip and audio that were recorded separately.

In my case the audio bitrate changed in FCPX i even can't see no changes it still 48 but sounds half step deeper i tried all kind of bitrates but no way always half step deeper do u have any idea where the problem is? btw great informativ channel!
