I can recently attest to this. I had runners knee for the better part of a year and once I began foam rolling it was almost gone within a week.

How often would you foam roll? Did you do other stuff or just foam roll?
@Corvy9524 жыл бұрын
Ben Leonard was the foam roller the only type of therapy you did? Ive have runners knee for about 3 months and now due to the pandemic I can’t get physical therapy. I want to try this out but am curious if you or anyone else tried any other at home therapy
@crazysexycool074 жыл бұрын
@@Corvy952omg, same here. I just recently within the last month have been dealing with runners knee and all the doctor offices and physical therapy places are closed. Even searching KZbin for at home remedies and excercises to lessen the pain

@@Corvy952 ive had it over 4 years, done all sorts of weight training, no effect, i cant run for more then 5mins. I havent tried this foam roller thing hopefully it works.

@@bobsworthbob4462 look up Doug Kelsey book on Amazon. Strength is only one part of caking the pain down.

This is what I needed. Didn’t realise how tight my quads were, the first time foam rolling after watching this video and those knots are tight in my quads. Great vid

Really good stuff, but I highly recommend using the dense-rubber style massage balls instead, such as yoga tune up balls. My sports massage therapist recommended them to me and they are so much more effective than my foam roller!

soooo while this hurt a lot lol! it was instantly helpful when I stood up my quads felt considerably looser. I don't have any IT troubles but I do have runners knee and have been doing recovery stuff from your videos the past couple days and its feeling better

Dealing with runners knee for a month now. Slowly healing and I'm losing patience haha. Giving this a try. Seeing people saying this works.

Did it work
@chiefsonic244 жыл бұрын
@@Trippywolf222 Definitely improved. I'm being more cautious this time learning from past experiences. I can definitely squat and do leg curls now. Maybe next week or two I'll give it a test run.

Can it be done with an electric massager?

Does it really work better than the usual way? To me seems like its not working, not enough pressure on the muscle.

@Carl Poles and kt tape helped a bit. Also I tried not to take long breaks during the race, as the knee would hurt even more every time I had to start running again
