I am a Jiu jitsu athlete myself. Been training for many many years. I tore my left meniscus over 3 years ago (it makes a little pop going DOWN stairs but not up.) but I have no pain or discomfort from it really. I also have dislocated this knee cap training back in 2008. And about 8 days ago I took a hell of a pop to my opposite knee now - it’s swollen and I think I tore some of my right meniscus now. I’m super depressed because I’m thinking I can never train anymore or I should just quit the sport I love. Did this help you?!! Any comment will help man thank you

@ctashi7081
@ctashi7081 Жыл бұрын
@@cxlmobileheadlightrestorat7906to be pain free for knees, you need to have balance in your legs. When you walk and run you put 3x your bodyweight into your legs. Your tibialis absorbs the force but when your tibialis is weak, the force goes up from your ankles to your knees, causing pain in the knees. So yes there are some ankle exercises here but you need these exercises to maintain harmony and protect your knees.

@@lv2keepfit493 I think my problem is I’m very knock kneed. Very weak in my glutes. I’ve tweaked knees, minor meniscus tear and orthoscopic repair couple decades ago. I’ve been walking backwards 15 minutes minimum every other night along with tibialis razors. I bought that bar. I believe it’s helping. Also in the gym every other day starting to slowly do different lower body exercises. My pain at night is going away. I believe a lot of my problems are also with my tightness in my hips and jacked up ankles from blowing them out multiple times playing basketball for two decades . I think I’m gonna sign up for his program . I wish you the best. All we need is hope and a path in order to bust our ass rehabbing our knees. Stay strong.

@@andryduarte9164 the knees are better, but still completely jacked. I realize I have extreme valgus of the knees. I’ve been hammering my glutes and implementing some of the knees over toes stuff. I will say my knees are definitely better, but I have a long way to go. I need to remind myself I’m 54 and this is not gonna change overnight. I need to stay consistent. Consistency is the key I think at 54. I’ll be in the gym tonight. I hope you’re finding success and relief yourself. I’m sharing the stuff with young people. They need to know.

I started on Monday walking backward for 10 minutes. After 2 days, my low back felt "worked," so I didn't want to push it. While putting on my pants this morning, I was able to put them on without leaning on something for support because of pain and weakness in my hip and low back. Amazing! Tonight, I felt stronger, so I went on my backward walk again. Seeing results so quickly is exciting. I am almost 71 years young.

I’ve been so down lately about my knees and back. I had 2 acl reconstruction surgeries in my teens from basketball and at 45 my knees are painful, crunching and cracking. I’m barely walking and it’s effected my livelihood as a carpet and floor guy, it’s all I know. A lot of despair and no hope for awhile that I may no longer be able to support my family. Yesterday, I found this video after watching him on Dr. Berg. I’ve been doing the exercises, and feeling more confident and that I’m on the right path. I have hope and most of all hunger to improve. That’s been lost visiting doctors and therapists that essentially told me I need to just retire and find some online work instead. Thanks for the positivity and the inspiration. I really needed this badly.

@@Mayank-rs7kg knees are much better and I’m more mobile than I’ve been in a long time. I can actually use an eliptical, bikes, treadmill, even jog. Started boxing again at 47. Now I’m working on my lumbar. My back was bad for awhile due to my knees. Slowly getting into back ability. Neck and back need some work, but the knees are greatly improved. I can walk upstairs and down stairs, cut and stop quickly. I couldn’t imagine doing this a year ago. The injuries though caused me to lose almost everything unfortunately. People don’t talk about the toll this can take on your income as a business owner, and the toll on your family. Approaching 50 and having to hustle and start all over again is tough, but I can now hustle and grind harder. It could be worst. My mind has to be 25 again, but at least Im not withering away. I still have some fight in me. Watch these videos, they are motivational. All the medical people just gives up on you. Atg, is positive and encouraging. You need this when your at the bottom with no hope. As you get older, you got to keep moving. You can never stop training. It’s all over if you do. It’s in the mind, it’s all in the mind. @@Mayank-rs7kg I had surgeries in the 90’s. We came a long way since then. I think you’re at the right place here. I went into surgery with no internet and really no understanding of what is going on and what to expect. I would follow ATG closely if I were you. I can tell you that if you don’t rehab your knee properly down the road it will affect your entire body. Shortened leg and arm on the surgery side, misaligned pelvis and your neck can become infused to your shoulder. This you’ll feel and see 30 years after surgery of course. However, this doesn’t have to be you. Follow Ben and never stop training. Post op 2 years I felt great because of youth. It catches up to you in your 40’s if your careless though. You know, if I only knew then. We just weren’t in the Information Age then unfortunately. Good luck! Never stop training. Please continue this program and spare yourself from problems in the future. Look into personal training from ATG. It’s a small price to pay. Good luck to you!🙏

One thing that really help me with ATG Split Squats was stretching out my internal and external hip rotators and doing some ankle mobility exercises. I noticed when I was doing ATG split squats in the beginning, I would always get bad knee pain on my left side but now I have 0 pain by bringing ample mobility to my hips and ankles. Your channel along with Squat University has helped me tremendously with my athletic performance in boxing so thank you Ben!

Thank God He made our bodies so amazing, just have to take care with what hes given.

I've learned a lot from you in training to protect my joints and improve flexibility - but the biggest take away I have now is how to run a business and be a man of integrity. I run my own business and it feels like nobody cares about the little guy and everyone is out to make a buck by any means necessary and people are cutting corners knowing they will get away with it. But to see you make every effort to do right people is so refreshing. You have my utmost respect and I wish you nothing but success. See you at the top Ben!

Thank you Ben. I've been a tree surgeon most my working life and I'm just aproaching 40 having never really trained at all. I was bemoaning my shonky knees to a workmate the other day. He put me on to your work, really singing your praises. I realise now that my attitude towards the pain has been pretty resigned. hearing your story, watching a couple of your video's and trying out some of the excercises has given me a new sense of hope and agency. much gratitude X

Thanks for being a mythbuster, fitness educator, and inspirational leader. I also agree that everyday should be counted, because we never know when the unthinkable could happen and lose someone, so no waiting for specific days to show and tell the people we love how much we care. Having said that, and since it is in direct response to the holiday message, I hope you, your family, and you extended ATG family have a safe, happy, and memorable holiday weekend. I’m so glad you mentioned the business side of things, nothing bothers me more than the phrase “it’s just business”. Nothing is just business, there are people attached always. Generally that phrase is what people say to excuse away ripping someone else off even friends or family, steals an idea, over charging, or whatever other unethical business practices they are committing . I’m so glad to see people like yourself giving credit where it’s due. It goes to show you can be successful, ethical, give credit, help others be successful, AND be successful in business yourself. You are a great example of this and I’m proud to say in my neck of the world I am doing the same in my business dealings always…I sleep very well at night. Imagine what a capitalistic society would function like if ethical business practices were the norm. It would truly be a different world. Thank you for including this part of your journey it’s as important as the ground breaking joint work you have been doing. ✌️
