This guy writes pretty clean, although I'd say the most important part when starting off with a tag is making sure each letter is the same (or very similar) in height and width. Your tag could come off looking unbalanced if you make one letter really big with lots of flare. This guy just makes it look easy.

you know what's the fun stuff about graffiti? it can't be thought, it has a learning process yeah, but it can't be thought by someone else, you can have someone with experience giving you advice, you can also study art and human anatomy which helps a lot, after you learn to construct the human body it's easier to construct letters, practicing well stablished lettering like cursive and gothic can help you to get some idea of style, there's million things that can upgrade your skill, but at the end graffiti is 100% practice and experience, no video is going to help you choose a good spot, or watch yourself over the police and other dangers in the street, or even how to fucking use the spray can.

The simple letters he's talking about is only simple to the people who have some experience ...it might look simple to him but to every one else its not ... That is nowhere near a simple and "normal" K it still has a lil flair to it ...if u tell some one who never did graffiti to spray the letter k on a wall it wont look like the k he sprayed ... People who have been tagging for a while tend to incorporate graffiti in normal day civilian writing and they dont even notice it my uncle has been tagging since he was 10 he's 33 now and only does it in his sketch books and when ever he writes something that is considered normal to every one else it still looks like he's using letters from the "graffiti alphabet" but to him thats just the way he writes and he doesnt notice how different it is from every one else's hand writing

This is good advice for novices like me. Starting from square one truly is the best way to grow your talent. My tags freakin suck. My first was basically just print, my next few were just gaytarded scribbles. I found a good middle ground by using "stylish print" which is easy to read but still has flavor. I'm still trying to figure out my tag even though I've got some pretty decent looking throw ups around the block. For now I'm using stickers with a mini-throw up on them for my tag.

the best tags are legible yet stylistic, if you can incorporate the two then you will have nice tags. you can do the styley ones i usually save them for hangaround spots or pieces. speed is a factor now i can bust full tags in 3 seconds that are stylish, readable and dope. source- 15 years of tags :) if you dont know what your doing, hes right in saying ,keep it simple

If you need to learn how to then first find a letter structure on google and practice then pick out a name search it up to see if it taken. After that see if any youtube graff artist has also put a tutorial if none have request one by messaging them.
