We have had a lot of messages asking about Bobcat. Here is a look at Bobcat and his back leg issue with the help of our old friend Dr Caldwell. "Wear-and-tear" degenerative spondylosis ~~ hoping Bobcat the LIon can just compensate for it by walking a little weird, and not requiring the pain meds for life which wear out the kidneys. Getting old gets us all, Kevin, and thank you and your team and your amazing vet so much for going the extra nine yards. The sanctity of life is so precious, the ultimate value!

It's comforting to know his condition is from aging and not something more serious. As far as our aging animals, it's tough to see them get into their years. It forces us to start thinking about "that" day when it comes, as hard as it is😢 It's a must to cherish every minute we are with them. I love your precious Bobcat very much!🥰

I could tell Kevin was holding back tears when discussing Bobcat's prognosis. I'm guessing he sees a lot of himself and his own physical frailties and mortality in Bobcat and its a depressing feeling. As the saying goes, "It sucks getting old."

As an old rugby player in the position of lock I know exactly how Bobcat feels. Have had exactly same diagnosis. Some days are better than others but he may be grumpy on occasions when he tweaks his back . He may need a ramp for getting on and off the truck.😊😊.

Poor Bobcat. I can understand how he might feel and be uncomfortable. I'm up there in age, 74. Have spine issues and arthritis. Getting old is not fun. Moving helps. I know he's in good hands with you, Kevin. ❤❤ What happened to your arm? Been away.🤔

Severe tennis elbow. He said he was in excruciating pain and nothing else was helping so he had the surgery.

I am a Leo in astrology, I have the same issues with my spine. I don't take any medicine. Some days are good, some days there is pain. Just have to keep stretching and moving. Old age never comes alone but Bobcat is in a loving environment so it's good for him to enjoy every day. Over 28 years we have had many rescue cats ( not as big as your beautys Kevin) but they have always been loved and cared for until they tell us when it is time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Animals give us so much❤❤

0:08-0:10 & 5:13-5:17, oh bless him, he looks so unhappy. I love how, despite him looking really scared when he's at the vet, his eyes seemed to light up a bit when he sees you. I'm glad that we now know what is ailing our favourite king and that it isn't something extremely serious and worrying. I hope that he carries on being as OK as possible.

Members fees helps. He said a visit to the sanctuary to do nail/claw trims cost about 500US that is thousands of Rands in South Africa.

I saw the member video last week, and I appreciate this additional footage. Poor Bobcat....I felt so sorry for him when he was at the vet as he was stepping into the pen, looking all confused. And when he was looking around his pen, "talking" to Kevin, as if asking, "what's going on, why am I here?". Wish I can give him a big hug❤❤❤

As soon as I saw it was Bobcat I knew it would be a noisy visit with Dr Caldwell. What a gorgeous Black Mane Lion he is. Bobcat just doesn't like humans in his space, right? And he's not afraid to shout it. 😸 Poor Gabby looked so lost, knowing her man, well cat was gonna get some extra attention. 😿 The least you could do, Kev is throw her a tire or two at her to keep her busy!!! I know how Bobcat feels, I've had seven hip replacements/revisions in the past five years. I'm turning 71 in September and that arthritis can make anybody walk funny.
