Thank you! Mine wasn't putting out much water and I couldn't figure out how to get in there and deep clean it. It's a heavily planted tank and I noticed dead leaves up where the water intakes. Pulled it apart, cleaned those suckers out, and it's running great. I appreciate the help!

Hi Cathy, Did you fix the squealing problem? Usually it's from the impeller guide at the back of the motor. I show how to remove it in the video. If there's dirt clean it, if there's to much slop contact seachem they should send you a new guide.

@@BenAfricanCichlids hey Ben,thanks. No,it’s getting hung up on the plastic somehow(the back metal shaft of the impeller is gouging the plastic where it seats. I’ve cleaned the whole thing and greased the shaft with no luck. It’s an older filter so maybe the motor needs to be replaced. I’ll call seachem this week and see what they can do to help. Great video,btw. The most in depth one I’ve seen to date.👍🏻

I have the 55 Tidal. Getting the outer motor cover on and off is so hard for small, weak hands. That cord is a pain, too. Otherwise, great filter!

I really like the tidal filters. Aqueon just got out with a filter that just like the tidal, have the pump inside the aquarium.

Hey bro! I’m from Brazil and i have two of these tidal 110, the newest one make some noise when connected the motor to the body, and no noise when i turn it on without being conected to the body. I’ve disassembled completely and it still doing the loud noisy, but just when connected to the body.

Hello my Brazilian friend! This sounds like the impeller shaft might be loose or dirty. When you had it completely disassemble, did you see any signs of wear on the impeller or the guide plate?

Well, the impeller looks great, and te pump works good when out of the filter body. The noise is just when connected to the filter.@@BenAfricanCichlids

Hi, it can be hard with new filters. The filter housing is hold in place by a small pin on each side. It usually come apart by wiggling the housing front to back while keeping a down pressure. If it doesn't work you could gently use a small flat screwdriver to release the pins.
