I was struggling badly for a long time with taking to deep of a divot after striking the ball. I couldn't figure out why and after watching your video I took it to the range and applied your instruction to my swing (backswing). BINGO.....I was hitting the ball much cleaner and not nearly as deep of a divot. It's a work in progress but I think I'm on to something!! Does this apply ro driver as well as short pitch and chip shots? You are a life saver!! 🙏👏👏👏

Loves the videos Richard. Clear and easy to understand directions. And great analogies on what I should be thinking in my golf swing. Fantastic work!

Thanks, Richard. I like the tree analogy. Suggestion? Get the golf balls out of your way; it’s distracting when you’re stepping on them all the time. Good lesson.

Haha I didn’t even notice it until I was editing the video. 🤪

My coach says I have the deepest divots he has ever seen in 30 years of golf.

@@RichardRiceGolf it’s horrible, broke my clubs and injured my elbow. Had 4 different coaches with no luck. I’ve resorted to just doing short shots with my 9 iron to keep from digging. I can still score in the 90s sometimes though.

Your explanation has merit but You didn't say anything how you take the club back and then reroute it to a shallow position.. that's why You take shallow or no divots at all.
