@@gnegi1095 Any form of TB, anywhere in body. If to begin with LFT is normal should be given 4 medicines Rifampicin, ethambutol, isoniazid, pyrazinamide for first 2 months. And then later pyrazinamide is stoppex and other 3 are continued for another 4 months. We cannot comment why someone suggested you less, maybe they had some genuine issues in your case which we cannot comment without having details.

Sir my father is going through eye tb. He has no tb germs in his lungs and he is taking tb medicines from last 3 weeks but in his monthly report his ALT sgpt is 266. The doctor has prescribed him with ursocol 300 mg twice a day. He also added that if it doesn’t reduces sgpt level than we will have to hold the tb medicines for some days. Sir will it affect the tb treatment if the doctor holds the tb medicines? Will it become drug resistant? It would be very kind if you reply.😊

@@S.B-o8f ideally not possible or there is some alternate diagnosis. We dont rely on sputum tests only if clinical suspicion of Tb is there. We prefer doing a Bronchoscopy test and send the lavage (sample suctioned during bronchoscopy) for various kinds of TB tests.

We dont know exactly what your doctor meant. But Dots treatment and private treatment are both same. Side effects are dose dependent and dose is dependent upon weight of patient. Side effects can happen with Dots as well as with private treatment. Its a patients wish which they want to take because both treatment are absolutely same

I had supracavicular cervical lymphnodes larger one is 12mm my report was refampicin resistance indeterminate I started medication on feb 20 then i stopped using my self from april 20 tell now I didn't went for checkup also in between and yesterday i went for ultrasound sound some lynphnodes were decreased in size but some new 5 number of nodes started submantle nodes. All are 5mm each... Can i go for biopsy again is it necessary

Yes biopsy is needed. Send the biopsy samples for 1. Gene Xpert Ultra 2. AfB cultures Rapid 3. Histopathology Cultures are mandatory so that later when it is positive, drug testing can be done on it. New lymph nodes can come in ongoing treatment however it is important to rule out drug resistance. Biopsy should be done from the biggest possible node.

If biopsy is not feasible then wait and watch. Keep following up regularly with your doctor. Keep taking medicines as advised.
