Sir my father is going through eye tb. He has no tb germs in his lungs and he is taking tb medicines from last 3 weeks but in his monthly report his ALT sgpt is 266. The doctor has prescribed him with ursocol 300 mg twice a day. He also added that if it doesn’t reduces sgpt level than we will have to hold the tb medicines for some days. Sir will it affect the tb treatment if the doctor holds the tb medicines? Will it become drug resistant? It would be very kind if you reply.😊

At sgpt 266 TB medicines should be stopped already. Urosocol usually doesnt help. Kindly take treatment undrr pulmonologist or TB specialis only

And kindly do not stop by yourself on our advice. Either do a proper case consultation with us online or at clinic or follow as your doctors advice. Kindly do not do things on your own

We dont know exactly what your doctor meant. But Dots treatment and private treatment are both same. Side effects are dose dependent and dose is dependent upon weight of patient. Side effects can happen with Dots as well as with private treatment. Its a patients wish which they want to take because both treatment are absolutely same

Sgot sgpt 300+ , 161 ke liye 3-5 days medicines band karna kaafi tha. 15 din ke liye needed nahi hota. Also MDR ka risk aise nahi hota.

Sir, my sgpt increased to 266 after tb medicines and than my doctor prescribed me ursocol 300 twice a day and kept tb medicines continued after one week it dropped to 235 and he stopped the tb medicines for 1 week but after 1 week of stopping the medicines it again increased to 263. Sir is it normal to increase sgpt sgot even after you stop tb medicines? All my liver functions test except sgot and sgpt are still normal. Sgpt sgot were also normal before tb meicines. Ultrasound neck karvaiye. Lymph node size ke according biopsy ya excision plan karna thik rzhega. Unhe test ke liye bhejna hoga ki usme koi Tb ka kitanu hai ya nahi. Usi ke according decide hoga. Ye 6 months pe hi kar lena chahiye tha. Lekin abhi koi baat nahi. Ab karva lijiye.

Ise paradoxical reaction kahte hai. Jaruri yahi hota hai ki Pus ke tests kiye jaayein Tb cultures aur dusre organisms ke liye.

@@S.B-o8f ideally not possible or there is some alternate diagnosis. We dont rely on sputum tests only if clinical suspicion of Tb is there. We prefer doing a Bronchoscopy test and send the lavage (sample suctioned during bronchoscopy) for various kinds of TB tests.

Am not sure about if someone would give that advice of taking at a gap of 30-60mins because there wud be multiple medicines and taking at a gap means you are taking all medicines in 4 hours. For my understanding all medicines shud be taken tpgether within 1hour
