Hello Sir ,my dad is diabetic patient from 10 years , Recently he suffered from extrapulmonary TB at cervical lymph node of neck . He was treated with Aukrit 4 which after 15 days he developed increased level of blood sugar approx 5oo along with increased LFT . His tb drugs were discontinued by doctor except ethambutol and levofloxacin was continued for sometime. Now his LFt is fine and he is on insulin for controlling blood sugar. And he doctor has again prescribed I isoniazid 300mg and rifampicin600mg which he used today resulted in bloody red eye and fever of102 degree Fahrenheit along with itching of skin . We visited doctor and he has given paracetamol which is not working properly. What should we do in this situation? Should we continue the drug or not . Can once discontinuing drug brings resistance?

Start isoniazid 150mg initially for 3 days, and if tolerating increase the dose to 300mg along with Rifampicin 300mg, and increase the dose of Rifampicin to 600 after 3 days, for other symptoms he can take symptomatic treatment like Paracetamol or Levocetrizine tab, There is no resistance to medicines if these stopped for few days

No need to take uric acid lowering drugs, if pain, you can take simple Pain killer medicines like indomethacin or Aceclofenac etc. Maintain good hydration, uric acid will come down to normal, after completing the treatment

Damage lung Phir se thik nahi hota, but we can survive with one lung, if your oxygen saturation is normal, simple treatment like inhalers will help you, transplant depends upon the extent of damage in other lung also

Sir my mother was suffering from extra pulmonary lung TB, government treatment started one month before but fever 🤒 is coming daily. Doctor said to give paracitamol if fever come but it one month. fever is coming regularly what should i do ?😥😥😥😥😥

If no other cause of fever found in your mother, it can be because of TB, fever may take 4 to 6 weeks to resolve, try to improve her diet

Try to increase carbohydrates in your diet like rice, fruits, milk shake etc. You can take multivitamin tablets for 1 month, Vit D sachet 60k once a week for 4 weeks, improve your physical activity like morning walk etc, take Albendazole 400mg stat

Redness can be because of TB medicines, may remain during TB treatment, if itching also, you can take anti allergic treatment such as cetrizin or Fexofenadine tab
