It is better off with walking. Traffic in UB so terrible. Average human beings walk around 5 km/h. Average traffic speed in UB is also 5km/h. Can you believe it? In rush hours it could reach almost 0km/h during Winter times. In last few years, the traffic of UB stopped completely several times for multiple hours due its fully loaded roads. It means, if every household goes out with their own cars, there is not enough space for them on the roads. It does not matter whether you take bus or not. The official keep saying that people need to use public transportation regularly instead buses, in order to decrease the traffic. But that is just far from reality. In fact average citizens use buses so often, even though the conditions and services of bus companies are so terrible. Drivers are crazy and they are not qualified to this job professioanlly to be honest. They use mostly very unfitting language in the cabin, behave themselves like they are the boss, smoke regularly and are drunk sometimes. The environments of the buses are dirty AF, not to mention they don't provide air conditions . In Winter, they don't even heat the bus. The most of them retired buses from South Korean public transportation. These buses produce so much CO2, more than world minimum standard. Walking is the best option in UB, if it is not Winter.

Hello, is there no mobile app to top-up the card? you can only do it offline, meaning in stores and kiosks?
@ACMSMongolia4 жыл бұрын
Hello. At the moment only the stores and kiosks top up the card. But if you connect it with the ebarimt mobile app, you'll get an e-receipt at the end of your day, no matter how many times you used the public transport. This has two benefits: you'll get 2% of your purchase back at the end of the quarter, and you'll be enrolled in their monthly lottery.
