I am an individual that is making a career change and has been given an opportunity to be part of a startup company alongside very seasoned individuals in the cybersecurity career field, and eventually if I do well enough I will be given an equity stake. It's a lot to take on for the obvious reasons, a lot of which you were able to touch on in this video, because I know that my ability to communicate with decision makers will be crucial to my success and to the company. I'm lucky to be receiving mentorship and support but I just wanted to THANK YOU SO MUCH for making these videos. Full disclosure, I am watching every single one! Thank you for sharing your valuable insights and advice, it is a blessing for people like me who are pushing to go to the next level.

The advice on articulating principles instead of methodology is an eye opener for me, especially coming from a technical background.

This helps me a lot. Thank you! I'm really quiet, and I don't speak much with my clients, probably because I'm afraid that I may not be able to explain myself well, since English is my second language, and I lack confidence to speak to them.

F.A.S.T. I appreciate the clarity of each stage. And equanimity and self-governance are the big take away. They speak of a developed sense of confidence, for work that has been done in advance. The sense of fair exchange also speaks of mutual respect and peer communication rather than an hierarchical relationship.

like the advice to focus on impact, rather than impression. I've been doing the latter for too long. It brings anxiety before the meeting and a storm in your mind afterwards, because you constantly ask yourself: 'Was I good enough?' but you can't give yourself the answer. What a vicious circly. Thank you, Dr. Grace Lee

This facilitation aids in transitioning my role and responsibilities, where I frequently engage with higher ups to discern and articulate value aligned with each opportunity along with my cocolleague. 💼 Dr. Grace, your pragmatic tool is invaluable for understanding the precise needs of each situation over time. 🛠️ Thank you once more, Dr. Grace. ❤️ I truly appreciate a tool that is #FAST and commend your clarity in comprehension. 🚀

It would be great to have an example of what is a principle, what is not a principle? I understand the definition of a principle, but translating the definition to see what are MY principles for what I do, I feel a disconnect to being able to see that. Maybe a story example would help?

Not fear, hopelessness. People who have staked their career on executive summaries, protecting their salaries and participation trophies with execuspeak, are vanishingly rarely willing to learn.

@@DrGraceLee It was amazing. Thank you very much Dr. Grace Lee. We spoke about my real motivation to join the IT Team. We shared principles, values that you suggested so often in all your videos. I applied one of your lessons "Speak to impact, not to impress". I spoke to the new Higher-up (Top Management) hired in January 2023. I asked easily if he wanted to learn how infrastructure and I said "It is a win-win for both of us and no worries I will try to vulgarize, no technical details". He was ok. Damn!!! I was a little bit anxious before asking --being afraid. But applying your lessons, I felt "0 pressure, 0 fear". I was fully transparent and aligned with my own values, another of your lessons. Thanks again 🥰
